Dirty Sole Releases “Faking” Off FWD Motion
Chicago’s indie electronic group Dirty Sole has arrived with “Faking,” the debut single from their sophomore album FWD Motion, available December 9, 2016.
With analog warmth under an electric guitar, Dirty Sole’s unique approach proves they aren’t your typical indie group, and almost brings out a certain Milky Chance sound. It’s got a true rollicking feel and super addictive progression, making it quite the stand out feature on the album. Co-piloting the song is singer-songwriter Jon Von Letscher (one half of Honey Claws), who layers an infectious vocal so perfect it sounds as if the song almost wrote itself. THE “2016 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS®” NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED
The American Music Awards, the world’s biggest fan-voted award show, announced today the “2016 American Music Awards” nominees with recording artists Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten revealing six categories of nominees live on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Immediately following the broadcast, five additional categories were announced in real time exclusively via Snapchat (TheAMAs). ABC News then livestreamed the remaining 17 categories and included a recap of all nominees in the 11 previously announced categories. (See the full list of nominees below). The “2016 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.
Drake leads with 13 nominations and sets a new AMA record for most nominations in a single year, surpassing Michael Jackson’s previous record of 11 nominations in 1984. Rihanna received seven nominations and Adele and Justin Bieber received five each. Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers each received four nominations. Additionally, Bryson Tiller, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood, Fetty Wap and The Weeknd earn three nominations each.

After penning a clutch of strong songs, Garcia recruited a crack rhythm section comprised of Pygmy Shrews drummer Alexander Perrelli and Liturgy guitarist (playing bass here) Bernard Gann. Led by Garcia, this power trio set about honing his songs into diamond-sharp rock that retains a rough-hewn grace. THE PINE BOX BOYS: San Francisco Horrorbilly/Bluegrass Murderers Issue “Rise”
Over the course of four prior albums, San Francisco’s THE PINE BOX BOYS have charted the course of a killer named Willie who, accompanied by a rogue’s gallery of other nefarious types, slashed a bloody career across the south and westward to the territories. On their fifth album, The Feast Of Three Arms, the murder balladeers introduce us to Willie’s cousin, Jubal with No Last Name, and his quest to kill the man that did his mama wrong. This detailed tail is delivered through seventeen movements, with Raww leading each ballad with a spoken oration, setting the scene for each subsequent musical segment of this ominious tale to unfold. The album features guest contributions of fiddle by Alisa Rose and keys by Nigel Pavao, was recorded at Coast Recording and mixed at Discrete Recording, both in San Francisco, and completed with artwork by Tabitha “Stabitha” Lahr.
Myrath “Endure The Silence”
This September sees the start of Myrath’s first ever headlining tour throughout Europe. Kicking off in Munich, Germany on September 25th, the “Legacy Tour 2016” will take the Tunisian metal band from Germany to the Netherlands, from France to Bulgaria and Romania.
Jonny Zywiciel will donate the proceeds from his single “Time To Heal”
While struggling to recover from shattered illusions after his first love faded out, singer-songwriter Jonny Zywiciel (pronounced “Zuh-witch-ul”) wrote an album of intimate and soulful pop/rock tunes that he describes as a “mixtape outlining the last three years of my life.” Instead of wallowing in despair, the 23-year-old troubadour channeled his energy in a positive, musical direction with the aim of inspiring and uplifting others. The aptly-named collection, “Onward & Upward,” which will be released by the San Francisco-based artist on November 4, is led by the first single, “Time To Heal,” written as a message of hope in response to crises that several close friends had been battling: overcoming drug addiction, fighting cancer and confronting other seemingly insurmountable hardships. Zywiciel will donate all the proceeds from the single’s sales to the Amy Winehouse Foundation whose mission is to support and empower disadvantaged and at-risk children and young adults through music therapy and music education.
