VINNIE LADUCE RELEASES POWERFULLY CONFRONTING VIDEO FOR ‘GIRL’
Life can be bleak. There are ups and downs in the search for fleeting highs. There are those that seem to travel through life in the front section of the plane asking for, and receiving, more champagne. Then there are people who need to be more resourceful at every step of the way.
Jimmy Jeans is an ex-roadie who has been down on his luck for a few years in a row. He’s not bitter. He’s calmly going through the motions with a steadfast belief that things are gonna turn around soon. He can feel it.

NEW MOVE NEW SINGLE
New Move is the solo project of Jesse Bettis. This album was supposed to be released quite a few months ago, but was put on hold when Bettis happened upon a brief encounter with the grim reaper. While hosting a party at his home, a strange man infiltrated the get together, posing as a friend of a friend. After the group realized he was an intruder, an exit- struggle ensued, leading the man to pull a knife and stab Bettis in the ribs before fleeing. Bettis was rushed to the hospital where he spent several days on the brink, leaving time to reflect. In the following months Bettis’ wounds healed, his strength returned, and as a testament to his resilience he’s finally ready to show the world his record. New Move has emerged as a shining star of pop determination in the live sense. Framed as a classic American pop-quintet, the band paints their songs with elements of glam rock, doo-wop and modern indie-pop. New Move’s s/t debut will be released on Bug Hunt on this Friday.

The soulful song will remind supporters of his unique talent for creating pop where US R&B meets British pop-rock – a Peter Gabriel for The Weeknd generation. Or as Grammy Award winning 2 Inch Punch says “Drake meets Coldplay”. As well as his own music, Ed works as a songwriter for the likes of Maverick Sabre, George The Poet, Gorgon City and more.

In 2013, MONEY released their acclaimed debut album The Shadow Of Heaven, following only a handful of concerts that felt more like communions in out-of-the-way venues, advertised only by word-of-mouth. The record sounded similarly crafted – all haunted melody and atmosphere, invested with an unusually ambitious and uncompromising lyrical zeal. This was a band that invested as much in what they meant as how they sounded.

“Life on the street when your hands are your feet…lying doubled over drunk from the meat,” explains Chris Lee, one half of the duo.” Inspired by these words from Paul Meadow the video was shot on the Pacific coast in Guatemala.”
CAUTIONERS NEW VIDEO “DAISIES”
In 2014, Cautioners entered the studio with Will Yip (Circa Survive, Title Fight, The Starting Line). Their first effort as Cautioners, Dead Ends was released in early 2015. Adding a new bass player into the mix that same year, they spent much of 2015 writing and crafting new material. Their new single “Daisies” is the first peak at that material. The song is a metaphor about someone who used to make you feel complete making you feel hollow and cold, like you’re dead to them. With the term “pushing up daisies” meaning that you’re dead and buried, this song is told in the perspective of a dead person, and conveyed visually with this music video.

LANTERNS ON THE LAKE VIDEO
Following the release of their lush third full-length record Beings last November on Bella Union, Lanterns On The Lake have shared the poignant video for ‘Through The Cellar Door’ on DIY. The track begins wispy and earnest, as front woman Hazel Wilde’s voice is ushered in on a subtle wave of emotive guitar lines. Her sentiment gradually builds, growing into a-blown-out climax of bombastic riffs and percussion, showcasing the dichotomous appeal that make Lanterns on the Lake so fascinating to begin with. The video artfully blurs in and out of vignettes of being, following a disparate cast of characters in the midst of stark moments that evoke feelings that are both familiar and intimate.

TANGERINE “SUNSET”
“‘Sunset’ is a toast to the intensity of being a teenager, to the weirdness of feeling so alive but also not yet fully-formed. At the same time, it’s about coming of age. Making music now, as opposed to when I was a teenager, is very different. As a young woman in the music industry, a lot of older, well-intentioned men will try to tell you what’s best for you but I’ve realized lately that you don’t have to listen to them, so the chorus is about that discovery.”

PAINKILLERS “OLDER”
Painkillers took a meticulous three full years to fully mature, but is perhaps Sonnensfeld’s most complete and compelling work to date. The project reflects the solitary journey of Shlomo Sonnenfeld as he was confined to bed due to a debilitating injury. “Simone,” the opening track, sets the mood of the album with its pure, slow and distant undertones and tension rebated by lonesome black and white ivory keys.
