FANS VIDEO “BORN INTO”

Commenting on the new track, frontman Dan Louch said: “We’ve had this song a long time, it was written well over a year ago so it feels good to be getting it out there finally. It’s seems to have grown in relevance since we first wrote it which is weird as some of the lyrics are pretty autobiographical, especially the first two verses. The song idea came about from stories my mum had told me about her childhood, loads of funny Steptoe & Son kind of stuff – like they didn’t have duvets and used to have to sleep under my granddad’s coat in winter.”

With the band’s debut EP due out later this summer, the band went onto speak about their first official body of work: “It’s a real, honest and raw record – both lyrically and in the way it’s recorded and produced live. Everything has pretty much seemed to tie itself together in an organic way.”

ERIC PRYDZ NEW EP

Eric Prydz today released VOL II EP of his Pryda 10 trilogy, celebrating ten years of his Pryda Recordings label and his Pryda artist alias. The EP features six tracks, and clocks in at just under 60 minutes of classic Pryda material.

Prydz is renowned for his use of ‘IDs’, tracks that he’ll play out and use in mixes without ever naming them or releasing them for years. It’s one of the reasons that his sets stand apart from other DJs, he is literally playing material no-one else has. It also means that many of the tracks on this Pryda Ten EP trilogy have had fans and DJs clamoring for their release for years.

MEMORYY NEW SINGLE

Memoryy just premiered “Feeling Sinister” an awesome new summer-ready anthem with The Music Ninja yesterday afternoon and I thought it be up your alley! As TMN puts it “Memoryy effortlessly rolls on midtempo pop structures injected with a contemporary blast of tasteful shoegaze and dream-pop; which has us dialing up comparisons to artists as current as Tanlines & Twin Shadow to as far back as New Order and even Peter Gabriel’s art-housiest expressions.”

MODERN PAIN UNVEIL SECOND NEW TRACK FROM ‘PEACE DELUSIONS’

Peace Delusions is an album that resembles a golden artifact unearthed from the ’80s American hardcore underground. This record harnesses the unbridled aggression of groundbreaking acts like Poison Idea and Infest and filtering it through the caustic, ashy atmospheres and unfettered noise rock of Texan predecessors Scratch Acid and the Jesus Lizard, as well as Moss Icon’s murky, wordy pathos. This unpredictable, nerve-damaging, half-hour-long debut full-length remains at its core a spacey, noisy punk record and the second track to surface from the album, “4202”, showcases that.
