PAMELA ANDERSON ASKS PUTIN TO STOP WHALE MEAT SMUGGLERS

World-renowned actress Pamela Anderson has sent a personal request to Russian President Vladimir Putin to ask that Russia take measures to prevent the passage of the St. Kitt’s-registered cargo vessel WINTER BAY through the Northeast Passage to Japan.

The WINTER BAY is carrying more than 1,700 tons of endangered fin whale meat from Iceland.

Because the cargo is illegal and a violation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), the Icelandic shipment could not be sent via the Panama or Suez Canal and the ships could not stop in any European, North American, South American or African ports.

AIRCRAFT UNVEILS NEW VIDEO FOR “DIG A LITTLE DEEPER”

Buffalo-based psychedelic indie art rock band Aircraft make catchy pop tunes embedded with layers of thoughtful lyrics that reflect the past, present and future. Founded somewhere between time and space, Aircraft revolves around the observations of songwriter Justin John Smith. Years of experimental drug use combined with a deep interest in the mystical have created a unique take on the nature of reality that is expressed through his song craft. Lush vocal harmonies, swirling guitars (Ty Skelton), melodic bass lines (James Warren) and powerful drumming (Matt Cossman) create the perfect atmosphere for fragile vocals to float in and out of. Aircraft released their debut album Sonic Boom in 2013 receiving enthusiastic reviews and prompted a promotional tour throughout the northeast. The band is set to release their new follow-up EP 7 Gems From The Sparkling Void later this summer, seven songs that find these sonic astral adventurers setting the controls for the heart of tripped-out indie-art-pop.

Little Tybee music video for their song, “Tuck My Tail.” Shot and Recorded in Atlanta, GA in 2015.

TRAE THE TRUTH X FUTURE X BOOSIE

Trae Tha Truth’s single, “Tricken Every Car I Get,” which was premiered by The FADER, finds the “big homie” of Houston teaming up with Future, Boosie, and production team League of Starz, for a grandiose drop-top anthem that remains true to the Lone Star state’s infatuation with customized rides. Widely recognized as one of the most genuine individuals in hip-hop, Trae has established some of the strongest relationships in the industry. On “Tricken Every Car I Get,” Trae uses his notoriously gritty vocals to deliver spirited verses illustrating his confident demeanor. The chorus, which is covered by Future, adds stamina to the single through its re-energizing atmosphere. Using the momentum from Trae and Future, Boosie solidifies his presence with an aggressive verse about his life as a D-Boy before music. Lastly, The League of Starz-produced instrumental serves as the final piece of the puzzle with momentous snare hits during every transition before its heavy kick combination cements the song’s intensity.

VERSE SIMMONDS X JEREMIH

Virgin Islands-born singer/songwriter Verse Simmonds and Jeremih take the mic on their latest collaboration, “All I Want,” which premiered via Billboard. The infectious track has the two singers laying down seductive lyrics over a remixed sample of “The Cha Cha Slide.” “When I heard the track, I asked Jeremih to come by the studio that I was working at in LA at the time and he pulled up on me and laid his verse on it,” Verse Simmonds explained to Billboard. “That’s usually how our session go, very random. One of us just calls the other and if we’re ever in the same area we just pull up and get it in!” “All I Want” is the second single from Verse Simmonds’ Sextape Chronicles 3 album, which will release later this year.

ANDERSON EAST’S DELILAH NOW STREAMING IN FULL EXCLUSIVELY AT NPR MUSIC

Anderson East’s highly anticipated full-length debut, Delilah, is now streaming in full exclusively at NPR Music. Of the album, NPR Music’s Ann Powers asserts, “…a homecoming of sorts for this Athens, Ala., native, whose shoofly pie-sweet drawl and fondness for Wilson Pickett-style shouts fit perfectly within the classic soul settings he and Cobb create…East has a gruff way with phrasing and a lot of youthful enthusiasm, but he’s learning his way into mastery. There’s thought behind every rhythmic push and melismatic twist.”

“LATINO UNIFICATION”

Termanology & Manny Garcia f. Statik Selektah “Latino Unification”:

CHIMES “PIECES”

‘PIECES’ the debut single from CHIMES, out August 10th, is a 3min30 burst of positive energy. CHIMES is a collaboration between British producer Draper and multi-genre songwriter/vocalist Paul Aiden.

The insecurity and battle for self-confidence in the verses (“It’s all a game, you against yourself / pressure building up”), make way for uplifting, anthemic crowd chants (“You can find all the pieces that lead you home”) – before hitting the listener with a massive dose of positivity in the chorus.
