MEDICAL EMERGENCY FORCES NICKELBACK TO CANCEL NORTH AMERICAN DATES
Multi-platinum selling rock band NICKELBACK is forced to cancel all remaining dates of the second leg of the 2015 No Fixed Address North American tour due to lead vocalist Chad Kroeger being diagnosed with an operable cyst on his voice box. Kroeger will undergo surgery in 3 weeks following vocal rest ordered by doctors. Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
Nickelback cancelled shows over the weekend, hoping the additional rest and treatment would help but an unfortunate diagnosis from Kroeger’s doctor revealed a more serious scenario. ““I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans” shared Chad Kroeger. “I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.”
SOLACE “OH WHY”
‘Solace’ takes listeners through a remarkable two-year absence that left Sami homeless. Bravely original, the E.P is a mixture of rap, spoken word & soulful vocals. Produced by Ross OD and legendary film composer Andy Gray, it is the honest story of a young man fighting for his place in the world. A story seemingly destined to be forgotten. ‘Solace’ was only made possible by the unexpected generosity of a stranger; a man who remains largely unknown but was moved enough by Sami’s words during an impromptu poetry performance at Ronnie Scott’s to finance the E.P’s creation, bringing him out of the darkness to create clarity from the chaos.

Unbeknownst to most, Monogold’s signature foundational-layers of lush textures and ambiance have always been, and will probably continue to be, the product of the tireless manipulation of the organic sounds of guitars, vocals, percussion, and vintage organs and pianos.

We’ve drawn inspiration from classic progressive rock (Pink Floyd, Yes) as well as current alternative acts (Blonde Redhead, Mew, Radiohead). Lyrically, we’ve tried to be honest with content that focuses on the peaks and valleys of relationship, and the aftermath. We hope our fans and new listeners will find something here that resonates with them.”

NEW VIDEO BY VERSE SIMMONDS
“‘Situationships’ is an honest perspective on a lot of relationships today,” Verse told Complex in their premiere post. “I think being in a ‘Situationship’ instead of being in a full blown relationship for some might allow both parties to be more open about their intentions. It’s the realist shit I’ve ever wrote. When people hear it, it makes them think about their situations because it’s so relatable and relevant. I love the video because it’s simple and focuses on the music and doesn’t distract from the message being conveyed. I took a walk through a lot of today’s relationships.”
