Miami-based reggae rock / Latin roots group Bachaco, known nationally and internationally for its bilingual party-with-a-conscience sound, has issued a third single from their upcoming new full-length. “Keep Your Head Up,” written in 2012 while the band was on tour and at a bit of a crossroads, is a positive, uplifting Caribbean anthem featuring tight rhythms and epic horn lines. The track is available for purchase on iTunes and the band is currently on a tour of the U.S. in support of it. See below for confirmed dates.
“When we wrote the song, we were listening to lots of music by the D.C. reggae / go-go band Soja,” says band founder and lead singer Eddy Morillo. “At that point, it was more a message to ourselves about staying focused and keeping a positive attitude. We had been playing throughout Canada and the northwest and had and had a few issues to overcome at the time. However, we persevered, learned some valuable lessons and were gifted a beautiful track.”
