EULA SHARE ANIMATED, UNSETTLING “MEADOWS” VIDEO AT CLASH
Brooklyn-based trio EULA began with frontwoman Alyse Lamb making 4-track recordings in her bedroom; her early sound was thick with haunting vocals, unraveling harmonies and dissonant guitar work. After passing these demos around at music school in New Haven, CT, drummer Nathan Rose and bassist Jeff Maleri joined and quickly started touring the East Coast and Midwest, releasing a series of demos and two EPs along the way. The three-piece became known for their raw, high-energy shows, Lamb’s onstage antics (she once used a broken Tecate as a slide while on tour with Mission of Burma) and her developed signature singing style of rapidly alternating between soft, upper-register purrs and aggressive caterwauls.

WEED PREMIERE “STAY IN THE SUMMER” ON STEREOGUM
Like “Thousand Pounds” before it, “Stay In The Summer” showcases a more direct and confident approach compared to the gritty lo-fi anthems of their previous album Deserve. Clear and buoyant, “Stay In The Summer” drives a tightly wound guitar-line skyward before diving into a woozy chorus. Today also marks the release of the limited edition “Thousand Pounds” 7″ that features an exclusive B-Side and can be ordered here. Last but certainly not least, the Vancouver natives have also announced an April US tour. See below for dates!

COLD SHOULDERS PREMIERE DEBUT SINGLE “WASTING AWAY”
PCold Shoulders’ debut single “Wasting Away” is an inescapable buoyant melody tightly entwined with harmonies that crescendo in a chorus of shimmering guitars. “Wasting Away” creates smiles in its wake. SWIMM “BEVERLY HELLS”
The band has made a name for themselves by throwing DIY parties/shows that always end up in a sweaty, mylar twirling dance party. Recently they’ve also done some pretty cool exclusive performances for Volcom and Red Bull, and Chris Hess of the band has also done scores for Carona, HypeBeast and Monster Children.
SWIMM has a slightly ambient folk sound, but I’d venture to say its a lot less cliche than that label would imply. Their music is emotive, driving and very thoughtfully constructed on record and when captured live, the band is a whole other animal all together.

vōx “MONEY”
LA based musician Sarah Winters, the mastermind behind vōx (pronounced wokes), dropped her second single earlier this week entitled “Money”.
The powerful pop song sparked an across water collaboration with UK singer Kyan, who lends intricate swelling backing vocals to the layered choruses, while the verses float on vocoder-esque harmonies held together by unusual stretched out lyrics.

CHELAN “BEFORE IT ALL”

With Equal Under Pressure, the duo strives to both overwhelm and engage the listener in the harmonic layering and soundscapes but never strays too far from being rooted in the careful reflection on relationships, modern anxieties, and modern struggles.

TREVOR HALL NEW EP + SINGLE
Singer-songwriter Trevor Hall has announced the release of a new EP Unpack Your Memories, due out on Vanguard Records on March 27th. This five song collection includes some of Hall’s most personal tracks recorded solely by him, on his laptop.
Hall talks about the history of these songs and why he chose to share them with the world at this time. “Unpack Your Memories is a collection of songs that have been in my “vault” for a long time now,” Hall says. “Some just didn’t make the other albums and some were just too intimate to share at the time. Now they are ready to breathe and be shared with others. The name of the album says everything … These are all songs that have become memories for me. I am reaching into my bag and unpacking them – unpacking their meaning, the memory of where I was when I wrote them, and the feelings that they brought me so many years ago. As the saying goes, ‘You never meet the same river twice.’ Every time I hear these songs, they teach me something new or offer me the gift of a new perspective. There are many other songs that are still in my vault, but I felt these were the most important to share at this time. The songs all came up together like the roots of a tree, and have taken form in the EP.”
