Ezana Edwards, formerly of Brooklyn act Night Manager, relocated to San Francisco after the band parted ways and initially started jamming with members of Bay Area mainstays such as Ganglians, The Mallard, and Warm Soda for early Blood Sister shows.

This time around, he has found a lucrative alliance in artist Jim Giordano, aka DJ Majestik. Over the past few months the two have shared both the stage, including their first ever performance together at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville this past March, and the recording studio. What has come out of their collaboration is a four-song EP, Intergalactic. The project was recorded and engineered entirely by Sidney “Super” Nelson in Nashville, TN, 2Four’s hometown.
Juggernaut Entertainment will be issuing a pre-release this Monday, August 18, 2014, one month prior to its official release date, Monday, September 22, 2014. The lead single is the EP’s title track, followed by Lockdown. Both singles are scheduled to have accompanying music videos.

SomeKindaWonderful, who released their self-titled Downtown Records/White Clover Records on June 23, 2014, premieres their music video for their top 20 single “Reverse” on VEVO today. Marc Klasfeld (Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers) directed the cinematic kaleidoscope of imagery, which tells the tale of “Reverse” – a love story gone wrong, told chronologically backwards.
“We wanted to create something that not only represents the song itself but also establishes who we are as a band and reflects our creative vision,” said lead singer, Jordy Towers.
WHITE ARROWS NEW SINGLE
Pigeons and Planes has premiered White Arrows’ latest single “Nobody Cares” from the band’s sophomore album In Bardo out September 16 on Votiv. Twang Nation is premiering the official music video for “Ain’t Nothing Wrong” from country-blues band Jumbo Brown. Twang Nation called the song “a woozy, honky-tonk ode to the simple joys of life and good times.”
Based out of Brooklyn, Jumbo Brown describe themselves as wild country boys living in Brooklyn, creating sing-along country blues songs about drinking, debauchery, and giving you that backwoods down-home feeling. Bringing a blend of country, blues, and folk, the band will be releasing their new album, American Primitive, on December 2nd, with “Ain’t Nothing Wrong” as the first single.

Yesterday, Toad the Wet Sprocket’s video for “California Wasted” premiered on Paste Magazine online. The video, directed by Matthew Ward and Ryan Chan, shows the band members in beautiful California setting, unable to be present, distracted by phones and newspapers. NEW ALBUM BY ARRICA ROSE
There are two sides to every story, sometimes even two sides to every person. And so there are two sides to Arrica Rose & the …’s (The Dot Dot Dots) latest full-length release, WAVEFUNCTION, available Nov 4th on pOprOck records. Though the album may be enjoyed sequentially and digitally, this collection of tracks was originally designed for vinyl.* Each side of the record has a distinct mood and there is no particular side where the story begins or ends. “We think of it as music for different occasions,” explains Rose, “a choose your own adventure kind of album.”
WAVEFUNCTION, produced by Daniel Garcia at Radio Hill Recorders, draws inspiration from timeless records, many of them made long ago. The songs hint at Dream Pop, Vintage Rock, and Americana, all dressed up in Rose’s sultry vocals and shimmering soundscapes of Andrews Sisters-esque harmonies, strings, horns, keys, and pretty noise.

YELAWOLF SET TO HIT THE ROAD
Alabama-born hip-hop artist Yelawolf (real name: Michael Wayne Atha) is about to hit the road on The.Slumerican.Made.Tour, with opening acts Rittz, Big Henry and DJ Klever, starting October 22 at Birmingham, AL’s Iron City, and running through December 21 at Nashville, TN’s Marathon Music Works, with dates scheduled for Los Angeles (House of Blues, Nov. 8) and New York (the Gramercy Theater, Dec. 16).
The tour will serve as a set-up for Yelawolf’s eagerly awaited second album, Love Story, on Slumerican/Shady Records/Interscope, which he’s described as “more passionate” than his debut, 2011’s Radioactive. Two tracks have already been released from the album, “Box Chevy V,” which he premiered earlier this year on Sirius XM’s Shade 45 station, and “Honey Brown.” Love Story was recorded mostly in Nashville with producers Eminem, Malay, WLPWR and DJ Paul.
