GAVIN DEGRAW TO RELEASE ‘FINEST HOUR: THE BEST OF GAVIN DEGRAW’ + “FIRE”
Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling RCA recording artist Gavin DeGraw is set to release “Finest Hour: The Best of Gavin DeGraw” on October 21st via RCA Records. The album will be comprised of DeGraw’s most renowned and notable hits to date, including “Not Over You,” “We Belong Together,” and “I Don’t Wanna Be”. Album will also include a new un-released version of “Finest Hour,” produced by Ryan Tedder. In addition, it will feature three new songs including “Fire,” produced by Max Martin and Johan Carlsson and written by DeGraw, Johan Carlsson and Ross Golan, “Not Our Fault,” which was co-written with Harry Styles from One Direction, and “You Got Me,” which will be featured in the upcoming film DOLPHIN TALE 2, in theaters September 12th from Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures.
Indianapolis born PRAVADA has just unleashed their new and intriguing video for “Flatbush,” off of their latest record, Dirty Looks. The highly anticipated piece kicked off with a premiere via Big Takeover Magazine earlier this week. Featuring the trio, the group brings out their more feminine side, while being guides to a young woman around Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The MuseBox today announced that Eugene Ripper will return to New York City’s East Village on September 17th to launch his new single, “Hangman.” Ripper, one of Canada’s most respected and storied indie modern rock performers, will perform a free all ages show at Sidewalk Cafe. Björk: Biophilia Live, the documentary film capturing the multidimensional concert centered on Björk’s eighth studio album, will begin a limited series of premiere screenings at festivals, museums, libraries, galleries and cinemas worldwide—including Moscow’s 360° Contemporary Science Film Festival, Rio de Janeiro’s Festival do Rio, Reykjavík’s Bio Paradis and Iceland Airwaves Festival, Panama City’s Biomuseo and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image—on September 5. The film recently made its European debut at the Czech Republic’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, at which Variety praised the film as “a captivating record of an artist in full command of her idiosyncratic powers.” Additionally, the Museum of Modern Art recently acquired the Biophilia iPad app, making it the first app in MoMA’s permanent collection. POP TRIO AJR MOVE THE RELEASE OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM
Emerging pop trio AJR announced to fans today that they are pushing back the release of their full-length debut Living Room. Originally scheduled for September 30, the release is moving to February 2015 to allow the band time to record a batch of newly written songs that reflect their continued creative development.
