Hailing from Sydney’s Northern beaches, The Ruminaters have made a reputation for their dark, spooky but still fun as all hell sound. After a solid stint away from the stage and studio the boys are back with their debut record due later this year. I Lost My Grandpa’s Teeth is the first taste from the album and is set for release this July.
The Ruminaters’ previous singles “Deadstuff”, “Timmy” and “One girl one knife” received accolades from radio stations nation wide including Triple J and Sydney’s FBi, plus a 5/5 rating from Triple J’s Richard Kingsmill. With influences including The Beach Boys and The Clash, critics have described The Ruminaters’ sound as “The Black Lips covering The Strokes” (Deaf Ambitions).
