Singer, songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. has announced that he will hit the road this fall for a nationwide theater tour after spending the summer performing at festivals across Europe.
In other news, on the heels of his run off shows supporting Eric Clapton at London’s Royal Albert Hall last month, Clark appeared as a special guest sitting in with The Rolling Stones during their show at the TD Garden in Boston, MA, on June 12th. The Rolling Stones have been big fans ever since Mick Jagger first heard Clark perform at the White House last year. Keith was introduced to Gary when they played together at last year’s Hubert Sumlin memorial Concert in NYC. At the Stones behest, their paths have crossed several times since.
