“My main inspiration for this video was trying to create a visual novel or book,” Jahzel explains, “We wanted to really give a look of someone who was locked in a room, and has gone mad writing pages upon pages of stories.” The song’s introspective and deeply personal lyrics lent to a visual style that capitalized on his desire to share where he comes from and what he has learned . “It ties into the song as I discuss how I’ve been through many experiences which when written down, could fill up several pages. Each experience being a past ‘chapter’ of my life,” Jahzel continues, pointing out that his story is far from complete. “Also in the video I am shown still writing, symbolizing that I have much more life to live.”
