Bank of the West will again host its Facebook Opening Band Contest, looking for an up-and-coming band to open an outdoor concert featuring Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo plus Loverboy, and perform before thousands of people at the annual Bank of the West Celebrates America concert and fireworks show. Set for Friday, June 28, 2013, at Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska, Bank of the West Celebrates America is one of the West’s largest outdoor free concerts.
Contest details are on the Bank of the West Facebook page, http://Facebook.com/BankoftheWest. The public can nominate their favorite up-and-coming bands and then vote for one of five Finalists. Input for selecting the top five Finalists will be provided by judges from the music industry, which include representatives from Warner Atlantic Records, Creative Artists Agency, award-winning Romeo Entertainment Group as well as San Francisco-based Bank of the West.
