Los Angeles retro soul singer/songwriter Tara Priya (pronounced Tar-ah Pree-ah) steps out of the studio to give fans a preview of new material with the single and video for “Who You Do” available now on iTunes.
[youtube fXSrbOJ38q4]Written in London earlier this year with Steve Booker, the song was completed in a day. “Without hyperbole, it was one of the best days of my life,” says Tara.
The song is about an ex-boyfriend whom after they broke up, “would awkwardly bring up recent interactions he had had with another girl–not to rub it in my face, but almost to get it off his chest and make him feel less guilty,” Tara explains. “I just wanted to tell him, dude, we’re not together, you don’t have to hide or confess anything, I don’t care who you do.”
