On March 1st and 2nd Boston’s beloved St. Patrick’s Festival will take place under heated tents at the Harpoon Brewery. 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of this rollicking festival, with live Irish music, traditional Irish fare, and barrels upon barrels of freshly-brewed craft beer.
With a wide selection of Harpoon and UFO beers on tap, there will be a beer for every palate. Harpoon Celtic Red, the brewery’s Irish Ale brewed specially for the season, will be on tap. Bono and the boys will not be playing, but the incredible U2 cover band Joshua Tree will belt out an impressive list of the band’s best hits and B-sides. The Colum Cille Pipes and Drums band will perform traditional bagpipe tunes, playing while marching through the crowd up to the stage. Irish folk and rock tunes will be playing throughout the weekend.
