Two-time Grammy ®-winning recording artist, LL COOL J, will release his 14th studio album, Authentic Hip-Hop, on February 12, 2013. Reteaming with The Trackmasters (R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, Nas, and Mariah Carey), who LL has steadily worked with since 1996, the legendary rapper returned to the studio and kicked the volume up to create a powerful album that would speak to his fans. The first two singles from the album, “Ratchet” and “Take It,” are currently at radio and “Ratchet” is available for download on iTunes. The album will be available for pre-order on iTunes on November 27.

“With Authentic Hip-Hop, I wanted to work on a project that was for the true fans,” LL says. “I’m not trying to compete with 17-year-olds on the radio, but I am talking directly to the folks who came up with me. We may not be teenagers anymore, but we do still like to have fun.”
