Giving telethons a modern, digital twist, Stageit (http://Stageit.com/) will bring fans a series of concerts that will benefit charities engaged in Hurricane Sandy relief, beginning with a set by Gavin DeGraw this Thursday, November 15, at 2:30 PM PST. Stageit is a web-based platform that enables artiststo easily create paid live shows directly from their laptops. Other artists who are participating in the series include Ingrid Michaelson, Phillip Phillips, Carly Simon with Ben Taylor and Sally Taylor, Teddy Geiger, Tyler Hilton and Mike Viola. (See below for a list of shows.) Artists will decide where they’ll perform and which Hurricane Sandy-related charity they would like to donate to. The online performances streamed on Stageit are not archived, so each concert remains a truly unique experience for the virtual attendees.
