Peter Westheimer is an Australian born musical veteran. He has been pumping the music out since 1982 and still going strong. His latest release, Tranzworld Express is a vibrant techno experience. The CD is loaded with up tempo dance tracks both mesmerizing and contagious.
Once you have entered into Peter’s head you are instantly taken to a new world. He has the ability to change genres from one track to another. The song, “Peacedance” has a Mediterranean feel. While escaping into his dream state I could picture eccentric belly dancers slithering like a snake across the dance floor. Then the next track, “Chances of life”, takes over the CD player and I am presented with all the opportunities life has to offer.
This is Peter’s forte. This is what he does best. He knows his work and after hearing his music you feel like you have stepped in his shoes for the day. Although it is an instrumental project he has a way of revealing his deepest thoughts. After being thoroughly entertained I felt like I knew him a bit better than I did before. It gives you the feeling of being a first timer. He connects with his audience in a way I have never felt. I like this world I think I’ll stay here for awhile.
Reality ceases to exist on the Tranzworld Express. I’d love to be a fly on the wall while Peter is composing. I can’t even imagine what kind of journey that experience would be like, to see an artist at work first hand. Since I can not do that, I’ll have to enjoy the experience packaged in this CD.
