DEMI LOVATO OPENS UP; LEAVES DISNEY SHOW
In Demi Lovato’s forthcoming interview with 20/20, the pop star isn’t holding anything back. According to TMZ, in the pre-taped interview, Lovato admits that she was a “cutter,” and that she began doing it as early as 11 years old. The now 18-year-old said that it was “a way of expressing my own shame, of myself, on my own body.” Lovato also announced she will be leaving her Disney show, Sonny With a Chance, saying “I don’t think going back to ‘Sonny’ would be healthy for my recovery, being in front of a camera would make me nervous.” Instead, Lovato wants to focus on music. The interview airs Friday night at 10 PM Eastern on ABC.
GREYSON CHANCE TO PERFORM AT THE WHITE HOUSE
Greyson Chance will perform at the 2011 Easter Egg Roll at the White House on Monday. It marks Greyson’s first appearance at the prestigious event, which dates back to 1878. Previous performers include the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. Fans will be able to see Chance perform on ABC’s Good Morning America this Friday.
THE READY SET’S NEW VIDEO!
MTV has premiered The Ready Set’s new video for “Young Forever.” In the video, Jordan Witzigreuter uses an app to freeze time so he can romp around a hotel with some fans. BRITNEY GOES BOLLYWOOD!
Canadian trio Culture Shock have added their Bollywood flair to remixes of Rihanna, Sean Paul and Lady Gaga and now, they have tackled Britney Spears’ latest single. The remix of “Till The End of the World” even caught the attention of Spears, who took to Twitter to endorse the song.

MTV’S O MUSIC AWARDS
Lupe Fiasco, Lil B, Matt & Kim, Mumford & Sons and more will perform at MTV’s inaugural O Music Awards on April 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada and other cities. Presenters include Ke$ha, Cee Lo Green, B.o.B, Wiz Khalifa, Robyn and more. Lady Gaga and Odd Future’s Tyler the Creator lead with three nominations each, followed by Kanye West, the Flaming Lips and Nicki Minaj, with two nominations. The winners will be announced beginning April 25th with the final three awards announced the day after the main event.
TIDBIT: The O Music Awards will be voted by fans and honors the technology and migration of music into the digital space. More than two-million votes have been cast since voting began on April 6th in categories such as Innovative Music Video, Funniest Music Short, Innovative Artist and Must-Follow Artist on Twitter.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE & LADY GAGA ON SNL!
According to WorldOfJustin.com, Justin Timberlake will host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live. The site is also reporting that Lady Gaga will be the musical guest in near future. Another rumor floating around is that Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Will Ferrell will also host over the next few weeks. SNL’s season finale is set to air on May 21st.
LADY A CO-WRITE SONG WITH PARACHUTE
Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum recently sat down to co-write a new song, “Kiss Me Slowly,” for the pop-rock band Parachute. Will Anderson of Parachute calls Charles and Dave “good friends” and told SoundSpike.com that they write together often. The song appears on Parachute’s upcoming album, The Way It Was, which comes out on May 17th.

AKON LEAKS NEW SONG OFF STADIUM
Just days after we told you that Akon has announced a new launch date for his much-delayed album, Stadium, the singer has leaked a new song called “Take It Down Low.” The Polow Da Don-produced cut features Chris Brown and will appear on his fourth studio project when it hits shelves on September 13th.
KEYSHIA, R KELLY AND MARSHA PREP TOUR
Keyshia Cole recently appeared on BET’s 106 & Park to premiere her video for “Take Me Away” and to announce that she will be going on a joint tour with R. Kelly and Marsha Ambrosius. Details about the outing are sparse but we’ll keep you posted with further information.
“JUDAS” IS STILL MAKING PEOPLE MAD
Lady Gaga’s new song, “Judas,” continues to ruffle some feathers. According to HollywoodLife.com, Bill Donoghue, the president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, said that Gaga is doing nothing more than using shock tactics to try and further her career. He called the tune “a stunt,” and said that she’s “morphed into a caricature of herself.”
GAGA IS ON EVERYONE’S MINDS
Hate her or love her, Lady Gaga is on people’s minds all over the world. The pop star is on the cover of the latest issue of England’s NME magazine, she had her song “Poker Face” covered by iconic rockers Duran Duran at last weekend’s Coachella festival in California, and she even has Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe telling MTV News in New York about how much he admires her advocacy for gay rights. It truly is an amazing time to be Lady Gaga.

COLBIE CAILLAT FINALLY MEETS HER IDOL
Colbie Caillat had an amazing night on Monday. The singer-songwriter wrote on her Twitter account that she finally had the opportunity to meet the woman who inspired her to become a singer when she was just 11 years old — Lauryn Hill. ALICIA KEYS TO DIRECT A FILM
According to SingersRoom.com, Alicia Keys has signed on to make her directorial debut on Lifetime. The singer joins Jennifer Aniston and Demi Moore for the opportunity to direct one of five short films for Lifetime’s Project Five. The characters in each film will convey the struggles of having breast cancer.
HAPPY 420: KID CUDI EXPLAINS QUITTING WEED
Tomorrow (4/20) is the one day out of the year that marijuana users can rejoice and bask in the smell of their favorite hobby. Kid Cudi, a reformed weed smoker, is explaining why he has quit one of his well-known pastimes. During the Rites of Spring show, Cudi told the crowd that unlike those who smoke for “recreational purposes,” he was smoking “all the time, recreationally, every day, wake up, [and] needed it.” He stopped because he “needed to just take a step back, clear my dome and focus on some real important s**t.” Scotty is now focused on his daughter, family and his business.
50 CENT TO DROP NEW SINGLE
According to XXLMag.com, 50 Cent has revealed that he plans to release a new single off his fifth studio album, Black Magic, later this week. The mogul says that the tune is “nothing but heat.” While we thought he was putting his upcoming Black Magic LP on hold, the European inspired disc will include contributions from David Guetta as well as Eminem, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes and Akon.
