BRITNEY ON THE COVER OF OUT MAGAZINE

Britney Spears is featured on the cover of the latest issue of OUT magazine. In an email interview with the mag, Spears talks about the first time she ever heard one of her songs on the radio, how she spent her first big paycheck, how her new album is different from her other work and a lot more.   She also talks about how she supports gay marriage.   Britney added that one of her favorite albums is Natalie Imbruglia’s Left of the Middle.   OUT magazine is on newsstands now but you can read the interview at Popnography.com.

LADY GAGA TOPS SOCIAL 50 CHART

Lady Gaga reclaims the crown on the Social 50 chart this week, bumping Justin Bieber back down to number two, while Rihanna, Eminem, Shakira, Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas Ludacris, Avril Lavigne and Akon round out the top ten.   Jennifer Lopez debuts at number 31, thanks to her hit single “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull.  

LADY GAGA TOPS BILLBOARD HOT 100 CHART

Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” scores its fourth straight week atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.   It marks the first song to debut at the summit and remain there for at least four straight weeks since Aerosmith did it back in 1998 with “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing.”   Cee-Lo Green’s “Forget You” holds at number two for a third consecutive week, while Rihanna’s “S&M” is up two spots to number three.   P!nk’s “F**king Perfect” holds at number four and Jennifer Lopez’s “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull leaps four spots to number five.     Britney Spears scores the biggest debut of the week with her new single, “Till the World Ends,” bowing at number 20.  

GAGA AND BREAST-MILK ICE CREAM UPDATE

All of the drama regarding Lady Gaga and the English ice cream parlor serving a breast-milk flavor called “Baby Gaga” seems to be finished.   According to British paper the Evening Standard, the store owner had the ice cream tested after Gaga’s lawyers said that it “may be unsafe for human consumption” and that it was infringing on the pop star’s “reputation and good will,” but it was deemed fine to eat, and the ice cream is back on sale.   In fact, the owners are now even “considering taking legal action” against Gaga and her people for damaging their reputation.

LIAM LOVES LADY GAGA

Liam Gallagher has always had a lot of nasty things to say about his fellow musicians, but he seems to like Lady Gaga. The former Oasis singer says the outrageous pop star has “got balls” and goes on to admit to “seriously” liking her.

HOT NEW MUSIC!

Britney Spears’ new single, “Till The World Ends,” is the most added song at pop radio this week.   The song scored the highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, where it bowed at number 20.   Other tunes making waves are Bruno Mars’ “Lazy Song,” Katy Perry’s “E.T.,” the Black Eyed Peas’ “Just Can’t Get Enough” and Jennifer Lopez’s “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull, which leaped four spots to number five on the Hot 100 chart.  

LMFAO DROP VIDEO FOR “PARTY ROCK ANTHEM”

LMFAO have released a six-minute video for their new single, “Party Rock Anthem,” featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock.     The video is a take-off of the zombie film 28 Days Later, where Sky Blu and Red Foo wake up from a coma brought on by too much partying.   They wake to find a world obsessed with dancing to their new song, “Party Rock Anthem.”   LMFAO will release their new album, Sorry For Party Rocking, later this year.   Learn more at PartyRockPeople.com.

MAROON 5 CANCEL EGYPT SHOW

It’s not really a surprise, but Maroon 5 have officially cancelled their show in Cairo, Egypt set for next month.   In a post on the band’s official website, the group cites “logistical issues,” and frontman Adam Levine wrote that they hope to make it there at some point later on their world tour.   Read the whole statement at Maroon5.com.

DAUGHTRY LOVES ADELE

No one is shy about expressing their love for Adele at the moment, not even Chris Daughtry.   The former American Idol contestant wrote on his Twitter page that he’s “lovin’” the singer’s new album, 21, and that she has an “incredible voice.”

SKYLAR GREY SIGNS RECORD DEAL

Skylar Grey has just landed a new recording contract with Alex Da Kid’s label, Wonderland Music, and Interscope Records. The singer, who is famous for the hook on Dr Dre’s “I Need A Doctor” with Eminem, is currently working on the follow-up to her debut album, Like Blood Like Honey.

THE SCRIPT HAVE A BIGGER SET LIST

ARE WE CLOSER TO NEW MB20 MUSIC?

Are we getting closer to hearing new music from matchbox twenty?   The band has been working on their next album and frontman Rob Thomas just wrote on his Twitter page that it’s a “great feeling when you finish a new song.”   Can that mean that some new MB20 music is imminent?

LUPE’S PROJECTED ALBUM SALES

According to HitsDailyDouble.com, Lupe Fiasco’s newly released Lasers LP is predicted to debut at number one on next week’s Billboard 200 chart. Despite numerous false starts, the rapper’s disc is estimated to sell anywhere from 220-thousand to 240-thousand units! Perhaps this will put a smile on Lupe’s face, as he has continued to voice his complaints about Atlantic Records allegedly trying to control the content on the album. While the official numbers won’t be available until Wednesday, this project could potentially become the highest debut of his career!

ALICIA TO DROP “PUT IT IN A LOVE SONG” VIDEO?

Just when you thought this video would never see the light of day, Alicia Keys has released a new teaser for her “Put It in a Love Song” visual with Beyonce. AceShowBiz.com reports the Melina-directed clip was filmed in Rio de Janeiro around this time last year, but it was delayed due to editing issues. It’s unknown when the video will finally premiere, but you can check out the new sneak peek on YouTube now.

DEVO WANT CHARLIE SHEEN IN THEIR BAND

According to SanDiego.com, Devo would like Charlie Sheen to join their band. The group says they’d be honored to have the now out-of-work actor sing for them, saying he could take on “any of our songs that he wanted to sing.” Devo even went on to call Sheen “brilliant” and “a philosopher of our devoted culture.”

WEALTHIEST RAPPERS IN HIP HOP

Wanna know who’s really rolling in serious bank in hip hop? Forbes has compiled a list based on the overall net worth of the top five richest rappers in the genre. Say what you want about his rap skills, but Diddy takes the number one spot for earning over 475-million dollars. Jay-Z follows in second with 450-million while Dr Dre raked in an impressive 125-million bucks. Rounding out the last two slots are 50 Cent and Birdman, both tied with 100-million. This is not based on any particular year, instead the figures reveal past earnings, current holdings, business ventures and more.

EMINEM REACHES DIAMOND STATUS!

Eminem continues to show semi-successful rappers how it’s really done. Slim Shady’s fourth studio album, The Eminem Show, has just been certified with diamond status by the RIAA. The disc was released on May 28th, 2002 and has since sold over ten-million copies in the U-S. The rap star’s The Marshall Mathers LP follows close behind with over nine-million units sold since its 2000 release date.

50 CENT RETURNS GADDAFI’S MONEY

After accepting money for performing for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, 50 Cent has announced that he will donate all those earnings to UNICEF. The mogul took the stage for the Gaddafi family in 2005 at the Venice Film Festival, but it’s unknown how much Curtis received for the gig.
