Avril Lavigne has released her fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby. It marks the first new record in over four years for the Canadian singer, who has a bunch of TV appearances coming in the next few weeks including The View this morning, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday and Chelsea Lately on March 21st.

SELENA GOMEZ DEBUTS NEW SINGLE
Selena Gomez premiered her new single, “Who Says,” on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Tuesday morning. Gomez, who has been in the headlines for reportedly dating Justin Bieber, will release the song on iTunes on Monday.

RIHANNA TURNS DOWN BODYGUARD ROLE
A few weeks ago, Variety reported there would be a remake of the classic 1992 film, The Bodyguard. While it’s unknown who will take over Whitney Houston’s role, we know who has already declined: Rihanna! The pop princess told OK Magazine, “I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time because you can never look at them as anybody else.” She feels that since she is already a singer, portraying a singer would not be a “challenge” and looks forward to “being able to step into somebody else’s shoes” in upcoming films.
BRUNO MARS IN THE UK
According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Bruno Mars took the stage on the Graham Norton Show in London this week. The crooner performed an acoustic version of his chart smash, “Grenade.”
JASON DERULO TURNED DOWN PLAYING HENDRIX?
R&B singer Jason Derulo apparently turned down the chance to play guitar legend Jimi Hendrix in a big screen biopic. Derulo told Britain’s Daily Record that he turned down the role because he is eager to finish his second album. Jason added that his doctors banned him from talking recently after he suffered from vocal problems. He said he must let his vocal cords heal or he could develop serious issues. Derulo is aiming to release his second album in July.
NICOLE SCHERZINGER PERFORMS NEW SINGLE
According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, Nicole Scherzinger performed on the British show Loose Women. The former Pussycat Doll took the stage for a rendition of her new single, “Don’t Hold Your Breath.”
NICOLE FROM PCD TO BE X-FACTOR JUDGE?
Could we be seeing Nicole Scherzinger as a judge on the U-S version of The X-Factor. The Pussycat Dolls lead singer confirmed on an English TV show that she’s “spoken to Simon Cowell” about being on the show, but that “the offer hasn’t been made official.” She did say if she was chosen to be on the show she would definitely give it her all. CHERYL COLE STILL MAY BE X-FACTOR JUDGE?
One day reports say Cheryl Cole will be staying in England as a judge for the U-K X-Factor, and then the next they say that she might still have a chance to come be a part of the U-S version. So which one is it? A source told English paper The Sun that Cheryl still hasn’t officially been told no, and that “she wants to be told for certain soon to put all this to bed once and for all.” We’ll let you know as soon as we find out more.
GAGA AND BREAST MILK ICE CREAM
Lady Gaga is getting upset over a pretty unusual ice cream flavor. According to PopEater.com, the pop star’s lawyers sent a letter to an English ice cream parlor to get them to stop calling their new flavor, which is made out of human breast milk, “Baby Gaga.” They make the claim that the owners of the store are trying to “take advantage of her reputation and good will.” Matt O’Connor, the owner, said that claims of his store trying to profit from using her name are “laughable.” Learn more at PopEater.com.

14-year-old Michaela Wallace has scored a viral hit with her original song “Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend.” The video for the song has received over one million views on YouTube and features a few cameos from Bieber himself. Michaela’s four song set, The Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend EP is available on iTunes now.

Yesterday was International Women’s Day and Adam Levine had some simple advice for men on how they can make every day a little better for the lady in their life. KINGS OF LEON BASSIST AND MILEY CYRUS STILL TEXTING?
There are lots of rumors still swirling about Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill and Miley Cyrus. Multiple online sites report that the pop star has been texting the rocker quite a bit since they met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid in November. No word on if the two are officially an item.
BRITNEY & MADONNA ON MAG COVERS
The April issue of Out magazine is going to feature two different covers — one with Britney Spears and one with Madonna. The mag says that the whole April issue will be dedicated “to women who inspire, scandalize, educate, and excite us – in a different way than they excite the other boys.” Both issues are due out March 29th. MADONNA IS A “NATURAL” DIRECTOR
Abbie Cornish stars in Madonna’s forthcoming new film W.E., and the actress had some very nice things to say about the Queen of Pop as a director. Abbie told MTV that Madge is a “natural” behind the camera, and that she is “such a cool woman.” W.E. will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.

It seems having Billie Joe Armstrong star in the American Idiot Broadway play paid off. According to the New York Times, sales for the show dropped significantly after the singer departed from his role as “St. Jimmy.” Billie has been replaced by AFI frontman Davey Havok in the role.
ADELE TALKS ABOUT BEING NUMBER ONE
Adele has the number one album in the country with her latest effort 21, and the singer took to her blog to write about how it all feels. She wrote about her first time ever coming to America, saying that she was 15 and she went to New York City, and the fact that she now is at the top of the charts here is too difficult to “put into specific words.” She then thanked her fans for all of their support. Dido is going to have a very busy 2011. Not only is the “White Flag” singer getting ready to put out new music very soon, but she’s expecting her first child this summer. Gwen Stefani is talking a bit about her longtime relationship with husband Gavin Rossdale. The No Doubt lead singer told Elle magazine that the two have been together for 14 years, and that it’s a “huge accomplishment,” adding that it “hasn’t been the easiest journey.” She could be referring a number of different things, including it being revealed that Gavin was the father of model Daisy Lowe, and also that he had some sort of relationship with British male pop star Marilyn.
COLDPLAY ALBUM NOT PUSHED BACK, ACCORDING TO REP
Despite rumors, the upcoming Coldplay album has not been pushed back. A rep for the band told EW.com that a release date was never set for the upcoming record, but did not confirm when the band’s fifth studio album will come out. The group has worked with producers Brian Eno and Marcus Dravs on the project.
WAKA FLOCKA GETS NAKED FOR PETA!
We recently reported that Waka Flocka Flame signed on to participate in PETA’s new ad campaign, Ink, Not Mink. The rapper posed naked to show everyone that wearing animal fur is not cool. Following a baby shower for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, the singer posted a letter on her official blog to thank all her fans who contributed to The Lamb Book — which includes numerous well-wishes and inspirational messages for the expecting couple. Mi Mi wrote, “I can’t thank the Lambs around the world enough for your letters & well wishes.” She went on to say that she had a silent moment while reading the book and described the experience as “the best moment of the night.” As previously reported, the couple is expecting twins — a boy and a girl.
NELLY LEAKS “GONE” VIDEO
Following their success with “Dilemma,” Nelly and Kelly Rowland have released the visual for their new single, “Gone.” The Marc Klasfeld-directed clip was shot in Cancun and shows the two artists getting very intimate poolside. After viewing this, you might assume there was something going on between the two, but the rapper recently told Hollyscoop TV that “Kelly is like a little sister.
