RACY CHRISTINA PHOTOS LEAKED

Some racy pictures of Christina Aguilera popped up online yesterday.   The pics show the singer trying on a rather risqué outfit that she wore in her “Not Myself” video.   According to PerezHilton.com, the private photos were leaked by a hacker.   Christina’s rep released a statement explaining the origin of the photos and sent a stern message to the person who leaked the shots.  

STATEMENT!   Aguilera’s rep released the following statement about the leaded photos:   “The photos of Christina Aguilera being leaked to the press were illegally obtained by a hacker who tapped into Christina’s personal stylist’s account. The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist. We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively. Their conduct is reprehensible.”

KE$HA TALKS FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS

According to USA Today, Ke$ha is the latest artist to put her star power towards the protection of our First Amendment rights.   The singer is featured in a new poster for the national public education campaign 1 for All, which strives to educate and promote awareness about freedom of speech and expression. Ellen DeGeneres, John Mellencamp and David Gregory of Meet the Press have all shown support for the campaign. 1 for All launched on July 1st in response to surveys by the First Amendment Center, which found that only about 1 in 20 Americans can name all five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment.   Visit 1ForAll.us for more information.

BIEBER FASCINATING PEOPLE PREVIEW

Back in September, Justin Bieber was snapped kissing his tour opener and “Baby” co-star Jasmine Villegas.   The two never confirmed a romance, but they were spotted a number of times together. So it’s no surprise that when Barbara Walters sat Bieber down for her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010 special, airing tonight, she asked him about the photos. His response when questioned about the photos: “I was kissing her.”   Bieber then explained, “Well, I was just, I don’t know, I was just kissing her. That’s about it.” Bieber went on to say that the two are not dating, that they just shared a kiss.  

DEMI LOVATO CLOSE TO SETTLING OVER ALTERCATION

Alex Welch recently spoke out about her alleged altercation with Demi Lovato, noting that she is yet to receive an apology from the actress, who is seeking treatment for personal issues.   Now comes news that both camps are close to a settlement to keep Welch from suing the Disney star.   The dancer’s lawyer, Don Karpel, told E! News he is confident both sides can “resolve these issues.”   Karpel claims that Welch suffered emotional and physical repercussions after Lovato allegedly punched her.   Welch also asserts she had “lasting physical damage,” which caused the dancer to consult with a plastic surgeon.  

JESSICA SIMPSON’S FASHION EMPIRE

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Jessica Simpson is building a fashion empire.   The site is reporting that Simpson’s fashion lines including shoes, accessories, denim, swimwear, watches and fragrances, have grossed more than 750-million dollars in retail sales this year. Simpson shows no signs of slowing down. For fall 2011, the singer is launching a contemporary sportswear line.    

SUSAN BOYLE ON TOP OF BILLBOARD ALBUM CHART

Susan Boyle returns to number one on the new Billboard 200 chart with The Gift, which sold another 272-thousand copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.   The album has moved over 1.1-million copies in just four weeks.   Taylor Swift’s Speak Now moves up two notches to number two, selling over 182-thosuand copies, Jackie Evancho’s O Holy Night climbs two spots to number three, while the Glee Christmas album leaps six slots to number four and the Glee, The Music Volume 4 soundtrack bows at number five.  

THE PEAS BOW AT NUMBER SIX

The Black Eyed Peas’ album The Beginning debuts at number six on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 108-thousand copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Their 2009 album, The E.N.D., debuted at number one selling over 304-thousand copies in its first week.   At the time, their single “Boom Boom Pow” had notched its 11th straight week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their current single, “The Time (Dirty Bit),” peaked at number nine on the Hot 100 chart.   The Beginning gives the Peas their third top 10 set following Monkey Business, which bowed at number two in 2005 and the aforementioned The E.N.D.

WILLOW SMITH TO TOUR WITH BIEBER

Perez Hilton is reporting that Willow Smith will head out on a European tour with Justin Bieber next year.   Smith took to Twitter to share the news, writing, “Got news that my big bro @justinbieber invited me on his European Tour in March..so exciting! Maybe I’ll let Jaden come..LOL #NEVERSAYNEVER.”   The European leg of Bieber’s My Word Tour kicks off March 3rd in Birmingham, England.  

KATY WANTS RUSSELL TO LEARN TO DRIVE

Katy Perry and Russell Brand spend the majority of their time in L-A, where you have to drive to get almost anywhere.   Because of this, the pop star reportedly thinks it’s about time that her comedian learned how to use a car.   A source told Now magazine that Katy is tired of driving Russell everywhere and “finds it bizarre that he doesn’t have a license.”   Russell is said to have been taking lessons, but “already failed his test a couple of times in the U-S – he’s not exactly the greatest driver.”   Good luck Russell!

KATY PERRY TO BECOME KATY BRAND

Katy Perry is in the process of taking husband Russell Brand’s last name.   The pop star was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, and told the talk-show host that she’s informally been going by Katy Brand ever since they got married in late October, and that people who call her “Mrs. Brand” usually get special attention.   There’s little doubt that she will still go by Katy Perry professionally, as her legal name is actually Katheryn Hudson, and that would be what is getting changed.

DUFFY TALKS ?UESTLOVE

On Duffy’s sophomore album Endlessly, she had a few tracks produced by the The Roots, and she recently spoke to the Associated Press about how it was working with ?uestlove and the rest of the band.   The Welsh singer-songwriter said that they are a “bunch of really cool young guys” and that she thinks it was quite “daring” to use them on her album, but that she is “very happy with what came back.”   Endlessly is out now.

NICOLE SCHERZINGER TALKS SKIMPY OUTFITS

Being a member of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger has to dress is some pretty risqué outfits.   And apparently, her family doesn’t think too highly of it.   The pop star told Britain’s OK! magazine that for the most part, her family has been “very supportive” of her and that she stays “grounded” because of it.   She added that they might not agree with her outfits choices, but her grandfather, who’s a priest, has “had pictures taken with all of the Pussycat Dolls.”

FERGIE TALKS MORE ABOUT SOLO ALBUM

Fergie recently said that it would be a while before she releases another solo album and now, some more details have been revealed.   The singer told Billboard magazine that she’s going to be out on the road with the Black Eyed Peas through October of 2011, and then she will begin work on the follow-up to her 2006 solo debut, The Dutchess.   The effort is now tentatively scheduled to come out in early 2012.

MANDY MOORE WANTS TO COLLAB WITH HUSBAND

Mandy Moore wants to collaborate with her husband, Ryan Adams.   The singer/actress, who voiced the lead character in the new Disney animated film Tangled, told E! Online that she doesn’t know if she’ll do a duet with her man, but on her next album “he’ll be involved in some way.” She added that they “work well together.”

GAGA IS MOST PROVOCATIVE CELEB OF THE YEAR

Headline News’ Showbiz Tonight has named Lady Gaga it’s Most Provocative Celebrity of the Year.   According to the New York Post, the finalists that Gaga beat out to win include Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Lindsey Lohan and Miley Cyrus.   A producer for the show said that the decision was almost a “no-brainer.”   The CNN subsidiary gave the award to Britney Spears in ’06 and ’07, Sarah Palin in ’08, and Jon Gosselin last year.

NE-YO UPSET WITH ALBUM SALES

Ne-Yo sat down with CW Detroit Gossip Girls to talk about the sales of his Libra Scale album. The singer revealed he was “a little disturbed by [his] first week numbers” but he believes “the album getting leaked a month in advance definitely had something to do with it.” The disc opened at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart with 117-thousand sold. To date, he’s slipped to number 31 with a total of 143-thousand copies sold.

WILLOW WANTS TO BE BIGGER THAN GAGA

According to NME.com, Willow Smith has shared who she aspires to be like in the future. The “Whip My Hair” singer stated, “I would like to be a very well known artist. I would like to be as big as Lady Gaga. I would like to be bigger. I’d like to be a big rock star.” The Roc Nation artist is prepared to give up her social life and admits that instead of hanging out with friends, she records. In related news, Smith is currently working on her debut album.

DAVE GROHL ON NEW MICHAEL JACKSON ALBUM

Dave Grohl has shown up in an unlikely place. The Foo Fighters frontman drums on a track off Michael Jackson’s posthumous album. Grohl plays on “(I Can’t Make It) Another Day” and Lenny Kravitz plays guitar on the song. The album, simply titled Michael, is out on Tuesday.

BEASTIE BOY BRINGS NEW MOVIE TO SUNDANCE

Beastie Boy Adam Yauch has an entry on the Sundance Film Festival line-up. According to NYMag.com, the movie is called Fight for Your Right Revisited and reportedly stars Danny McBride, Elijah Wood, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Jack Black. The film is described as “After the boys leave the party…” All very mysterious! We’ll keep you posted.

U2 HONOR JOHN LENNON DOWN UNDER

U2 marked the 30th anniversary of John Lennon’s death at a concert in Brisbane, Australia this week. Singer Bono sang a few bars of “Stand by Me” during the set saying, “I remember watching John Lennon sing that song for his son Julian. Today seems like a perfect day to do that for John Lennon and his family.” Later in the show, before singing “Pride (In the Name of Love),” the U2 frontman said, “This next song is about an idea that great John Lennon whispered in our ears as four teenagers on the North Side of Dublin.” Bono finished up the night simply saying, “Goodnight Brisbane, Goodnight John Lennon.”
