PERRY, KE$HA, BIEBER ADDED TO AMA’S

The American Music Awards already had a pretty impressive line-up of performers scheduled with P!nk, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera and Usher, but now, even more star power has just been added.   According to a press release, it was just announced that Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Justin Bieber have been added to the 38th annual AMA’s.   The awards show takes place on November 21st at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on ABC.

SELENA GOMEZ PLAYS FOR UNICEF

According to Billboard, Selena Gomez helped celebrate Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF’s 60th birthday with a show at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, California on Tuesday night.   The 18-year-old Disney star is an ambassador for the humanitarian organization, and she performed a private acoustic concert to benefit the program.   During the show, Gomez urged her fans to carry UNICEF’s little orange collection box while they trick-or-treat this Halloween. She wants them to collect funds to help provide health care, clean water, food and education for children around the world.

THE BEGINNING FOR THE BLACK EYED PEAS

As we previously reported, The Black Eyed Peas will release their new album, The Beginning, on November 30th.   The record will come out in several physical formats — a standard CD, a deluxe CD that includes three bonus songs, digitally, a full album vinyl and a combo two-disc set of 20 songs that includes The Beginning & The Best of THE E.N.D. The first single from the effort is “The Time (The Dirty Bit),” which is built around a sample from the classic 1987 theme from Dirty Dancing, (“I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”   The Peas have shot a video for the song with director Rich Lee.   The band is currently on the road on their The E.N.D. World Tour 2010, which culminates this fall with shows in South America.

LINKIN PARK FRONTMAN CHESTER BENNINGTON ON SAW 3D

Saw 3D arrives in theatres this Friday, just in time for Halloween. Longtime Saw fan and Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington appears in the movie and he told us that it’s so gory that it almost made his wife vomit (See Related Cut #4). Chester hasn’t done tons of acting in the past but he was in Crank. We asked him how acting in Saw 3D compared (See Related Cut #5). Saw 3D is out tomorrow, but you can pick up Linkin Park’s brand new album, A Thousand Suns, now.

SNOOP DOGG TALKS HALLOWEEN WITH HIS KIDS

Snoop Dogg sat down with us to reveal his unconventional plans for Halloween this year. CIARA TALKS SAVE THE MUSIC, ALBUM AND MORE!

During the Ultimate Face-Lift gala to benefit the Vh1 Save The Music Foundation, which took place at Lord & Taylor’s in New York, we caught up with Ciara to find out how she feels about being a part of the 2011 class of ambassadors (See Related Cut #10).   She also updated us on her highly anticipated album (See Related Cut #11) and went on to discuss what her Halloween plans entail (See Related Cut #12). WILLOW TALKS HIT SINGLE, BIRTHDAY AND BIEBER

During her first UStream session on Tuesday night, Willow Smith gave her reactions to the response of her “Whip My Hair” video and spoke about looking forward to turning 10 years old on Halloween. In addition, the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith spilled on how nervous she was to join Justin Bieber at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. MORE ON BEYONCE’S I AM…WORLD TOUR DVD

We’ve just learned new information on Beyonce’s upcoming I AM…World Tour DVD, which will be released as both a DVD and a CD. The project is expected to capture the singer at multiple shows around the world, no longer just at the two performances at London’s O2 Arena. During her trek, the entertainer played in six different continents and performed 104 shows. The I AM…World Tour DVD will hit shelves on November 29th!

CHRIS DAUGHTRY LOVES TAYLOR

Chris Daughtry loves Taylor Swift’s new album, Speak Now.   The “It’s Not Over” singer took to his Twitter account to say that he’s “blown away” by the crossover star’s latest effort, and that Taylor is the “read deal.”   Learn more at Twitter.com/Chris_Daughtry.

GAGA GIVES AN ELTON JOHN UPDATE

Lady Gaga took to Twitter to give an update on her duet with Elton John.   The pop star wrote that the pair is “finishing” their song “Hello, Hello,” and that it’s “sounding so amazing.”   The song will be featured in the forthcoming Disney film Gnomeo & Juliet, which is due out next year.

AN ADAM LAMBERT ACOUSTIC ALBUM

Adam Lambert has just announced that he will be releasing an acoustic album “around Thanksgiving time.”   According to Billboard, the former American Idol runner-up broke the news during an Australian interview, and said that although he doesn’t “have an exact release date,” he expects it to be out in November or December.

DAUGHTRY ON A&E THIS WEEKEND

This Sunday, Daughtry are going to be taking the stage on A&E’s Private Sessions.   The rockers will be performing all of their hit songs, including “Home,” “It’s Not Over,” “No Surprise” and more.   Also, the guys will be sitting down with host Lynn Hoffman to talk about how they all joined up with frontman Chris Daughtry.   And keep your eyes peeled for special appearances from Tori Amos and Ed Kowalczyk from Live.   Be sure to tune in and watch Daughtry on Private Sessions this Sunday at 9 AM Eastern on A&E.

NO DOUBT BABY NEWS

Another baby and possibly even more are being added to the No Doubt family.   In a post on the band’s official website, guitarist Tom Dumont announced that he and his wife are expecting their third child sometime this winter.   This is in addition to bassist Tony Kanal already announcing that he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together soon as well.   And if all that weren’t enough, InTouch.com is reporting that lead singer Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale are “seriously considering” having another child to go with their two sons Kingston and Zuma.

RIHANNA HATED RUSSELL AT FIRST

Rihanna may now be Katy Perry’s best friend, but when she first met Perry’s husband Russell Brand, the “Umbrella” singer was not impressed.   Rihanna told Q magazine that the first time they crossed paths he was interviewing her on TV and apparently “nothing” he said to her was funny and she asked herself, “Why am I talking to this idiot?”   She then said that they crossed paths again down the road for another interview, and she finally “realized he was funny” and that she was “probably a complete b***h” the first time.

KATY AND RUSSELL WEDDING DRAMA

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are long gone from India after having had their wedding there this past weekend, but the drama surrounding the celebrity couple has not yet left the country.   According to E! Online, the fact that the pair had their ceremony in a tiger-sanctuary “may have violated any number of local laws, particularly those having to do with noise and disturbance.”   No word yet on if Perry and Brand will face some sort of penalty.

ALICIA KEYS LOVES MOTHERHOOD

Alicia Keys just gave birth to her first child and took to her blog to let fans know what joy she’s experiencing with her son, Egypt Daoud Dean. Keys wrote, “Every moment is beautiful; delicious even! Every moment I’m learning and living in a way I never have before.” She added that she’s “most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body…I’ve never seen a more beautiful face in my life! The most perfect eyes and beautiful nose, the sweetest lips and skin so soft and kissable!” She concluded by hinting at writing a song about her baby — we can hear Swizz Beatz in the background now!

GET SHINEDOWN DELUXE EDITION

Exciting news from Shinedown! The band is releasing The Sound of Madness: Deluxe Edition next month. The CD/DVD set features bonus tracks, B-sides, alternative versions, the new single “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)” and more. Fans can pick that release up on November 23rd.   Shinedown’s acoustic Anything and Everything tour gets underway on November 4th in Tampa, Florida.

SAVING ABEL ON “SEX IS GOOD”

Saving Abel’s single “Sex is Good” is proving to be a success for the band as it sits at number ten on the rock charts. Singer Jared Weeks gives fans a little more insight into the track saying the song is “kind of a story of good boy gone even worse! But the important message in the song is about the honesty.” Weeks continues, “Seriously think about how many times in our lives that we have all been in those relationships where the bed room is the only ounce of excitement some of us have, thus comes out the truth!”

KINGS OF LEON COME IN AT #2

Kings of Leon’s new album, Come Around Sundown, takes the number two spot on the Billboard 200 chart this week. The band sold just over 184-thousand units in the album’s first week of release. Come Around Sundown is the follow-up to Kings’ Only By The Night record, which has gone platinum all across the globe. Kings of Leon play Boston on November 14th.

NICKI DROPS “RIGHT THRU ME”

Nicki Minaj shows off her vulnerable side in the video for her new single, “Right Thru Me.” According to Nicki-Minaj.net, in the Diane Martel-directed clip, the fem-cee gets into character as she argues and demands respect from her love interest, model Willy Monfret. The track is the latest offering from Nicki’s highly anticipated Pink Friday LP — slated to drop on November 22nd.

BON JOVI ANNOUNCE 2011 DATES

Bon Jovi will be touring throughout most of 2011 and the band has just released all their dates.   In a post on their website, Jon, Richie, David and Tico explained the trek kicks off in the U-S and Canada then heads to Europe and along the way, they’ve got “some surprises in store.”   The jaunt begins on February 9th in State College, Pennsylvania and stays in North America through late March then picks up again overseas in June.   Get all the dates at BonJovi.com.  

SPIELBERG TO DO BEE GEES MOVIE

Steven Spielberg has reached out to the Bee Gees with the hopes of creating a film about the group.   According to Music-News.com, Robin Gibb has given the director permission to do the flick and is allowing him to use the band’s original recordings in it.   The movie will trace the group’s history from their beginnings in England to their time as one of the biggest bands in pop music.   No word yet on any other details on the film or when it might be released.
