O.A.R. RELEASES SONG THEY WROTE WITH FANS VIA TWITTER

A year ago platinum selling group O.A.R. launched the first-ever co-write contest through Twitter. Designed to find fans that the band would collaborate with to create a new song, hundreds of O.A.R. fans submitted their lyrics, 140 characters at a time, to the band’s Twitter page. The band chose 3 winning verses, a chorus, and a bridge to make up the lyrics of the song and then extended the contest to have fans also title the song. Exactly one year from the official contest announcement, the band is now releasing that song entitled “Light Switch Sky” at www.LiveOAR.com.

All proceeds from the sale of this single from now until July 22nd will be donated to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, an organization dedicated to serving the needs of veterans with spinal cord injury or dysfunction, and their Mission: Able campaign.
