This year’s breakthrough pop sensation Iyaz will release his eagerly anticipated debut album, Replay, on Beluga Heights/Reprise Records on June 8th, 2010. The album was produced by Beluga Heights founder J.R. Rotem, who has also produced scores of hits for Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Britney Spears, Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo, Rick Ross, and many others.
A native of the British Virgin Islands, Iyaz is at the forefront of the “Island Pop” sound – a brilliant fusion of rap, reggae, pop, and island vibes that has been popularized by fellow Beluga Heights recording artist Sean Kingston. Kingston discovered Iyaz through his MySpace Page in 2008 and introduced him to Rotem, who saw immediate potential in the 23-year-old’s vocal and songwriting talent.
