LADY GAGA TO CHANGE UP HER TOUR
If you have a chance to catch Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour in 2009, you better do it, because it could be completely different in 2010. The pop star wrote on her Twitter that she is “already redesigning” it for the New Year. We’ll keep you updated with details. Gaga is taking the tour to Los Angeles tonight and tomorrow.
TAYLOR SWIFT IS THE AP ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
Taylor Swift has been voted the Associated Press Entertainer of the Year. The honor is voted on by different newspaper editors and broadcast producers from around the country, and now the country star can add this to an already extensive list of honors that she’s received this year. Taylor told the AP that she is “so honored and so excited” and that she “could not be more grateful.” Tina Fey took home to award last year, while Stephen Colbert was the choice in 2007.
TAYLOR SWIFT TOPS CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN OF 2009
Taylor Swift tops the list when CMT counts down the 20 biggest country music videos of the year in a special year-end episode of CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN on Friday at 11:30 a.m., ET/PT. CMT host Lance Smith will count down the best videos of 2009, as well. Taylor’s smash video “You Belong With Me” spent 19 weeks on the countdown this year, and held court at the number one spot for eleven of those weeks in a new Top 20 record. For the second year in a row, Taylor was the most-streamed artist on CMT.com, CMT VOD and CMT Mobile.
NICK JONAS: THE CO-HOST
Nick Jonas will act as the co-host on Live! With Regis and Kelly on January 8th. Nick will be filling in for Regis Philbin, and will welcome guests Zach Braff, and actress Marion Cotillard from the film Nine. Jonas kicks off his tour with his band The Administation on January 2nd at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. The night before his co-hosting duties, Nick will perform at the Beacon Theater in New York City, a short distance to ABC’s studios in the Big Apple, where Live! is taped.
JAY-Z HAS BEST SINGLE OF 2009
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys has not only become a chart-topping anthem for New York, but it was just named the magazine’s Best Single of 2009. Be sure to get the year end edition of Entertainment Weekly, available in stores now.
BEYONCE SAD ABOUT HER PARENTS DIVORCE
Last week, we reported Beyonce’s parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles, have officially filled for divorce. And it looks like the singer and her sister, Solange, are both struggling with the failed marriage. A source tells US Magazine that “it’s a rough time for the family… especially over the holidays. The kids are sad, but it’s been unraveling for some time.” The couple was married for over 29 years.

KID CUDI HAS BEST ALBUM OF 2009?
Entertainment Weekly has just announced Kid Cudi’s debut album, The Man on the Moon: The End of Day, is the Best Hip-Hop Album of 2009. The rapper also joins Keri Hilson and Drake on EW’s five Breakout Stars of the Year. In addition, Cudi’s critically acclaimed album is nominated for three GRAMMY Awards.
RIHANNA CHOOSES FAVORITE SONGS OF ’09
According to MTV News, Rihanna has revealed the one song that captured her this year. The “Hard” singer told MTV that Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys was “definitely one of my favorite records of 2009 … one of the biggest records of 2009, also.” The songstress explained the record was “timeless and epic,” adding that it made her wish she was “in New York, or I wish I was from New York. It’s just that great feeling when you hear it.”
SPIN MAGAZINE’S TOP 40 ALBUM’S OF 2009
Spin magazine has released their list of the Top 40 Albums of 2009. Making the list include U2 at number 32 for their disc No Line on The Horizon, The Dead Weather’s effort Horehound at number 10 and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album It’s Blitz! at number two. DIDDY HAS NO RELEASE DATE
According to the Chicago Tribune, Diddy explained why he hasn’t scheduled a launch date for his upcoming album, Last Train To Paris. The mogul says he doesn’t “know the exact month” the project will drop, primarily because it’s still being developed. Puff stated “We’re going to have it come out when it’s ready. We’re bringing everything together, editing it down. We did 60 songs. Also, we’re figuring out what’s missing.”
KANYE WEST TO PROPOSE TO AMBER?
According to U-K’s The Daily Star, Kanye West is planning to take his girlfriend, Amber Rose, to a villa in the Dominican Republic early next year. Why? Well, ‘Ye just might pop the question! A source close to Kanye told the site that “he has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life. He’s very serious, otherwise he wouldn’t be spending that much money on her.” Nothing is confirmed just yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD ENGAGED!
Carrie Underwood and NHL player Mike Fisher became engaged over the weekend. According to Ottawa Citizen, Fisher popped the question in front of his friends and family Sunday and confirmed the engagement yesterday morning saying, “We’re both obviously excited and very happy and so, exciting times for sure.” Carrie’s publicist confirmed the engagement. No wedding date has been announced and Carrie’s family was not present for the proposal. According to the Ottawa Citizen, the couple met in March of 2008 when Carrie was performing at Scotiabank Place in Ottowa, Ontario, Canada.

There are some pretty cool perks that come with having famous parents, and according to E! Online, luggage designers Titan have made Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston his very own luggage set. A spokesperson for the company said because the rock star couple are such good customers, they made the three-year-old his very own luggage “that is not available for anyone to buy.”
KATY PERRY TAKES IN A SOCCER GAME
Russell Brand is a big fan of the English soccer team West Ham United, and apparently, he’s getting girlfriend Katy Perry to become one as well. According to British paper The Daily Mirror, the couple was spotted at the soccer match that took place on Sunday.
ROB THOMAS HAS TO CANCEL A SHOW DUE TO WEATHER
Due to the terrible weather that hit the East Coast over the weekend, Rob Thomas had to cancel his show that was supposed to take place in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
