LADY GAGA TO PLAY FOR THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND

Lady Gaga is all set to play this year’s Royal Variety Performance, which means that the “Just Dance” singer will be on stage in front of the Queen of England.   NME.com reports that Michael Buble and Mika will also be at the event, and Katy Perry has been tapped to host.   It takes place December 7th in Blackpool, England.

PerezHilton.com has posted more classic performances from Lady Gaga.   The site has one from 2006, and it’s supposedly one of the first times that Stefani Germanotta is performing as Gaga. Head to PerezHilton.com to check out her singing two songs, “Wonderful” and “Fever,” the latter of which is sung by Adam Lambert on his forthcoming debut album.

LADY GAGA ADDS TWO MORE RADIO CITY SHOWS

Lady Gaga just added two more shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on January 23rd and 24th. The first two shows, set for January 20th and 21st, quickly sold out. Gaga will be joined by special guests Kid Cudi and Jason Derülo when The Monster Ball tour hits New York.  

WILL THERE BE NEW MUSIC FROM BRITNEY NEXT YEAR?

Will we be seeing some new music from Britney Spears soon?   Well according to PerezHilton.com, even though Brit just released a singles CD, the “Toxic” singer is working on putting out an album of all new material in May.   The gossip site says that Britney is expected to team up with producer Max Martin and songwriter Sean Garrett for what would be her seventh studio album.

LEONA LEWIS IS A “GOOD” DIVA

Leona Lewis admits to being a diva, she just insists that she’s of the “good” variety.   In an interview with Petra magazine, the “Bleeding Love” singer said, “The term diva has such a negative connotation, but I see myself as a kind of good diva. I’m a next-door diva.”   She admits that she has bought a few things since becoming famous, but one of her most extravagant purchases was a Toyota Hybrid, which Lewis assures is “very environmentally friendly.”

MADONNA WEARS A BULLETPROOF VEST

When you’re the Queen of Pop, you can’t be too careful.   According to the New York Post, when Madonna was walking through a slum in Brazil, she decided to wear a bulletproof vest, even though she was with security.   Apparently Madonna intends to build a school in Rio de Janeiro, similar to the one she is funding in a village in the African country of Malawi.

JORDIN SPARKS HAS AN APPENDECTOMY

Jordin Sparks had to cancel a trip down under where she was supposed to duet with Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, because she got a case of acute appendicitis.   The “Battlefield” singer had an appendectomy that apparently went very well.   In fact, Sparks even took to her Twitter in the recovery room, thanking her fans for their “thoughts & prayers.”

JENNIFER LOPEZ DEBUTS NEW SINGLE

Rap-Up.com has gotten its hands on the “Louboutins” single Jennifer Lopez performed during the 2009 American Music Awards. The Tricky Stewart and Dream-produced track is the first offering off J. Lo’s upcoming love? Album, which will arrive early next year.

BIG BOI OWES 55K TO IRS

According to BallerStatus.com, Big Boi reportedly owes well over 55-thousand dollars in unpaid taxes to the state of Louisiana. The Outkast member is yet to comment on the situation, we’ll keep you posted.

The rapper’s upcoming album, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, will drop next year.

RICKY MARTIN TEAMS UP WITH GERMAN TV FOR TELETHON

Ricky Martin is teaming up with German broadcaster RTL to support his foundation and build a youth center for children in his native Puerto Rico.   According to the Associated Press, Martin is joining RTL for a telethon to raise money to build the center in Loiza, near the capital, San Juan. The youth center will be able to accommodate 150 children and will offer them art classes, meditation, martial arts and yoga. The singer said his own twin boys would be regulars at the center themselves. Martin said he’d be back in Germany on a tour next September. He’s currently in the studio working on a new album and expects a single, as well as a book he’s working on, to be released next spring.

JANET JACKSON GETS NEW LABEL HOME

According to her official fan site, Janet Jackson has reunited with her first label home, A&M Records. According to the New York Daily News, the singer will release her greatest hits package, Number Ones, while CEO Jimmy Iovine has made it a priority to get Janet back to the top where she belongs.

Janet is working with mega producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins on her eleventh studio album, which will be out late 2010.

50 CENT CAN’T SELL CONNECTICUT MANSION

During a recent interview with HollyScoop.com, 50 Cent touched on the issues he’s having with selling his Connecticut mansion. You’d think the fact that Mike Tyson lived there previously would be a great selling point, but 50 believes his 19 bedrooms and 37 bathrooms is too “massive” to really call home. The mogul’s 50-thousand square-foot mansion is still on the market for a reduced price tag of 10.6-million dollars.

LIL WAYNE GETS DELAYED AGAIN!

Just when you thought it was safe to mark it in your calendars, Lil Wayne has delayed his Rebirth album yet again! Rap-Up.com reports the double disc project, which includes Young Money’s debut album, will no longer arrive on December 15th. Instead, fans can turn it into a great stocking-stuffer when it drops on December 21st.

GREEN DAY RECORD NEW VERSION OF “21 GUNS”

Green Day headed back to the studio last week to re-record their single “21 Guns” with the cast of their musical, American Idiot. The new version will be available for digital download late this month. American Idiot premiered in California in September and is making its way to Broadway sometime in the near future.
