“The original version of the track came out on This Charming Mixtape, which was written during a different time in my career,” said London about the song. “When the opportunity to release a track with Green Label Sound presented itself, I immediately knew that this was the song. I already had in my mind what I wanted to do to it.”
“I visited a town once with someone, and it was great and amazing–kids and dogs outside in the sun,” explains London. “‘Humdrum Town’ is about coming back to the town without that person and having the opposite experience. It’s gloomy, it’s dark in a humdrum kind of way.”
