Nelly Furtado owes the sound of her current album Mi Plan to her daughter. According to ContactMusic.com, the “Like a Bird” singer played an early version of the record to her daughter, who then told her that there were too many slow songs, and that it needed to be a little more upbeat. Nelly then went on to say that her daughter is “pretty musical for her age.”
