New York based singer/songwriter Joey DeGraw combines strong clever lyrics with rootsy rock sounds in his much-awaited release, Say Something Strong (August 18, 2009). With his distinctive raw gravely voice and in-your-face honesty, the rocker’s second album is sure to prove popular with fans looking forward to the follow-up to his debut album, Midnight Audio (2005).
Big brother to musician Gavin DeGraw, Joey has been playing music since the age of eight. He has recorded with noted producers, Steve Greenwell (Joss Stones’ The Soul Sessions and Mind, Body & Soul) and Jim Caruana Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love). He has also collaborated with top recording artists, including Joss Stone, legendary Mountain front man/guitarist Leslie West, Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors, and of course, Gavin DeGraw. The new album, distributed via RED, is the first to be released on Joey’s independent label, National Underground Records, which he recently started with his brother.
