Recently, guitarist Joe Satriani accused Coldplay of stealing one of his riffs for their song “Viva La Vida.” Now, Cat Stevens is saying that Coldplay stole from him for that same song too. The legendary singer, now known as Yusuf Islam, told England’s The Sun that “Viva La Vida” sounds an awful lot like his 1970s track “Foreigner Suite.” Cat explained, “There’s been this argument about Coldplay stealing this melody from Joe Satriani, but, if you listen to it, it’s mine!
