Rel McCoy flexes his powerfully poetic prose on “Call Of The Times”
Over a futuristic and funky groove, Rel flexes his powerfully poetic prose and goes against the grain of the music industry, society and the world as a whole. Within reason, of course. He serves up his introspective bars in a feverish flurry and even makes particular reference to his lady who rocks a “halo divine”. She has to be a keeper. Rel keeps the fanning the blue flame lyrically with his vocalised hook that is as equally weary and woke.

AN NCS PREMIERE: TORTURE ASCENDANCY 1307 — “AMON MORGUE MATRIX”
Hear the new single from Cincinnati’s Sungaze, “Washed Away” via DKFM
Vocalist / Keyboardist Ivory Snow explains the heart wrenching story behind the track: “‘Washed Away’ initially came into existence as a way for me to process an unsettling experience that happened a couple summers ago. While Ian and I were on vacation with my family in Florida, there was an accident and someone swimming near us drowned. I was the one who saw it happening and I tried to rescue him, but I didn’t make it to him in time. He was only 25, the age I am, now. The event caused a pretty profound shattering of my belief structures and as a result, I’ve battled with quite a lot of guilt and anxiety over the last couple of years. I wanted to write a song that juxtaposed the panic and terror I felt that day, in hopes that it would help me to make peace with what happened and move forward. I’m still searching for my footing as far as faith is concerned, but I don’t feel quite as lost. The waves you hear throughout the track were recorded at the beach where all of this took place.”
