Yoko Ono Shares “Where Do We Go From Here?” | Premieres New Video In Bust Interview

Following twenty albums over 50 years, Yoko Ono’s Warzone is strikingly different from any record she has made previously, but it is also strikingly different from any album that anyone is making…

Yoko revisits and reimagines 13 songs from her past work, spanning 1970-2009, the lyrics and messages still pertinent—perhaps even more pertinent—in 2018. “The world is so messed up. Things are very difficult for everybody. It’s a warzone that we are living in…” says Ono. “I like to create things in a new way. Every day things change.”

RAYMIX & JUANES’ “OYE MUJER” REACHES #1 IN RADIO IN MEXICO

After almost 2 years since the original version was released and reached viral status, the knockout hit continues to prove its prowess in the global music scene, taking the #1 slot in radio in Mexico with the remix which includes Latin icon, Juanes, where he sings and plays his signature guitar sound. Having surpassed 300 million streams throughout the digital commercial platforms, “Oye Mujer” has also charted for 47 weeks on Billboard’s Tropical Chart, where it currently sits at #3, and has spent 26 weeks on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, recently making it into the top 10.

Mammoth Indigo Release Provocative Video For “Undertow”

“Undertow” has some of my favorite lyrics from the record -“I will burn a hole in your head with your own cigarette” sounds like a growl line from a metal song, but in Undertow it’s a falsetto. To me, the song sounds like a macabre, ring-leader from a circus is singing the verses. It’s playful and solemn at once. Playing it live we get pretty psychedelic. It’s a fun track and also one of the only songs on “Wilt” to feature an acoustic guitar -which is ironic, considering it probably has the most production. Cody Bowers

Lady Geraldine releases Pete Townsend influenced track ‘A Trick Of The Light’ in awe inspiring story

The life of Lady Geraldine feels like a work of fiction, with every combination of heartache and achievement.

During her early twenties a life-changing opportunity presented itself and Geraldine was given the chance to have a major operation to sort out her profound deafness by reconstructing her inner ear and implanting an ear drum. The result was immediate and truly awe-inspiring, introducing her not only to the wonders of music which she had only previously encountered by attending her mother’s local concerts during the time when she was deaf, but also the strange experience of truly hearing for the first time, epitomised by her breakfast cornflakes which to her was so loud she had to wear ear defenders to eat them.

makk mikkael – ‘Use Me’

“My new single, “Use Me,” pulls you in with its dark and edgy twist. At first, my producer and I were really feeling the production on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. I wrote “Use Me” with a friend who’s an amazing songwriter. We started with the typical guy/girl, partying vibe, but the message transitioned more into being about a girl struggling with an addiction to heroin. With that visual, the song basically wrote itself.” – Makk

The album arrives on October 19 from Sacred Bones, the same day that the new David Gordon Green-directed film is released in theaters. Halloween is the first film in the canon to have Carpenter involved since 1982’s Halloween III. Papercuts signs to Slumberland, announces new LP

Since emerging in San Francisco’s fertile early-00s indie/folk scene, Papercuts’ Jason Quever has released 5 stellar albums that have become touchstones of quality modern pop. Equally at home with lush, baroque textures and more stripped-down arrangements, Quever’s song-writing is always top notch, the production tailored to the songs with great sensitivity. His skill in the studio has helped him build-up an enviable resumé recording, producing and playing with artists including Luna, Beach House, Cass McCombs, Dean Wareham/Dean & Britta and Slumberland’s own The Mantles. His sonic influence is clearly in evidence on those recordings, but it’s on the Papercuts albums that we hear Quever up close and his most personal.
