Isle of Wight (& sometimes Bristol) resident RHAIN is currently a bit of a hidden gem. Her huge vocal and inimitable charm recently won the favour of Alex Lee (Florence & The Machine), Ali Chant (Youth Lagoon) and John Parish (PJ Harvey) at a show in Bristol.
With Ali behind the desk, John on drums & Alex on guitar, RHAIN’s debut single ‘Humdrum Drivel’ was immortalised in a surreal moment that was never imagined from the outset.
Follow-up ‘Josephine’ was recorded with Ali in the same sessions, bringing in his friend Drew Morgan to assist with a string arrangement, which helps lead the song to an almighty climax.
