CRASH MIDNIGHT CONTROVERSIAL “ROXY” VIDEO PULLED FROM YOUTUBE
Crash Midnight’s latest video “Roxy” removed from YouTube in a record 72 hours after going live.
After gaining over 20,000 plays in less than 72 hours, CRASH MIDNIGHT’s controversial new video for the Steve Thompson (Guns n’ Roses, Rolling Stones, Prince, David Bowie etc)-produced single, “Roxy,” has been taken down on YouTube amidst a storm of debate regarding artistic censorship.
“Roxy” is the band’s first single off the upcoming worldwide re-release of their “Lost In The City” album, which is being remixed with new high-octane production by Bobby Ferrari at Vegas View Recording and is slated for a September release. In response to the take down, the label has created a ‘censored’ version of the video that is now available at this link:
“HORRORSHOW” VIDEO
Influenced by ‘90s hard rock bands (think Incubus in their quieter moments) and the raw vocal power of Alanis Morissette and Hayley Williams, Molly Anna’s dark fiction weaves intricate tales of love, self-destruction and extraordinary escape plans: from the scars left by lovers gone wrong to a burnt down house and a flawed alibi…
As shown on their debut EP, Ghosts, which was released in January, Molly Anna Band are an empassioned musical outfit whose sound is strengthened by its eclectic influences. The label of folk metal may offer some insight to their sonic output, but with elements of jazz, pop and hip hop thrown in to the mix, it is only a over view of their diversity.
“KISS YOU NOW”

On their second headline tour in April, the band treated their fans to new material without the wait. With a deluxe edition of Here We Go Again having also entered the Official Country Charts, the band are ready and raring to go for festival season.

“HAWT STUFF” VIDEO
Vicetone returns with another epic tune, this time taking us back to the disco days. The guys’ new single “Hawt Stuff” features a familiar Donna Summer sample from the original 1970s anthem. Buzzing synths, pounding kicks, and a distorted vocal breakdown bring this classic into the new age.

NIGHT GAMES NEW SINGLE
East London’s Night Games peddle a high-fidelity brand of future pop that sounds effortlessly soulful next to the hordes of trendy electro-pop nowadays. Last single ‘Faithless’ was an important progression in their sound, cohesively juxtaposing their silken synth textures with glockenspiel to create a luxuriously poignant sound.
Latest single ‘Suffocate’ sees them at the apex of their songwriting. Constance’s ethereal reverberating vocals are borne atop crafty synth swells as she sings “I am the space between your sheets / Lift them over my head so I can’t breathe.”
BART “YEAH” MUSIC VIDEO
In a recent issue of Toronto’s NOW magazine, music editor Carla Gillis proclaimed that Bart just may be her favourite new Toronto band. This is not an isolated opinion. Over the course of the past year the band has played to a consistently growing group of converts. Bart’s use of dynamics and harmonics take them places where few contemporaries dare to tread. Triple saxophone breaks, piano ballads and synthetic fades into the centre of a new age all make up the band’s debut full length Holomew. Filled with hooks, melodies and meditations on the bigger picture, Bart’s Holomew is ambitious in scope and unapologetically progressive.

Somewhere in a warehouse in the shadow of the once industrial giant Chicago, Illinois mellow drums shape the pattern of a psychedelic post whatever dream. A certain kind of longing reaches out from places like these and that band; Earring, can do nothing but call this place home. Mixing elements of Post Punk, Sludge and psych into a tapestry of soft and beautifully heavy rock tracks the band’s debut Fire Talk album Tunn Star.

JHEREK BISCHOFF & AMANDA PALMER GATHER AGAIN TO CELEBRATE PRINCE WITH “PURPLE RAIN”
“When our heroes die, we feel our own deaths coming down the pike,” says Palmer. “We didn’t expect to spend our winter and spring on these projects, but there is something unsettlingly beautiful about paying homage to Bowie and then, just a few months later, Prince. Rushing to the music itself and throwing ourselves into the recreating of the songs has proven to be not only therapeutic for us, but for our fans. We all know that we won’t stick around forever, and art and music – mine, Jherek’s, Prince’s, Bowie’s – is the glue that keeps us all connected beyond the terror of our own mortality. We will all die, but we’ll be survived by all the songs we ever passed along.”

BERLIN EXPERIMENTAL POP BAND SLOW STEVE PREMIERE LIGHTHEARTED NEW VIDEO FOR “BALI”
Adventures is the first LP of Ex-Fenster member Rémi Letournelle. His bubbling vintage synths (together with an impressive variety of instruments) will take you on a strange trip through imagined galaxies and secret deep-sea worlds. Call it weird, but this is amateur pop in all its glory, and the most natural outlet for Slow Steve. Think of Ariel Pink, John Maus, early Future Islands, old Krautrock luminaries or Arthur Russell – a whole school of alternative pop music that Rémi is very likely to join. Adventures is more than just an application.
