Israeli musician, Snir Yamin, releases his music video, “Taking (#PrayForWorldPeace Cut),” in effort to promote peace in the wake of the ISIS attacks on the people of Paris, France on November 13, 2015. The video highlights scenes of violence in the recent Paris attack as well as from 9/11 in NYC and the recent Mali Hotel massacre. It also displays scenes of world leaders coming together to end conflict, including President Obama, French President Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As a native of Tel Aviv, Yamin grew up witnessing political violence first-hand and personally chose not to join the Israeli army due to his strong convictions against war. He decided to use his song, “Taking,” as the backdrop of his video to spread a message to promote world peace. The “Taking – Pray for World Peace Cut” video is the follow-up to Yamin’s previous video of the same name, sub-titled “Global Conflict Cut,” which garnered over 16,000 organic views in one month.
