Black River Drive’s new song ‘Grenade’, from their forthcoming album QUICKSAND, punches like a heavyweight champion. A meaty, punk rock guitar riff melds with a crushing gang vocal chorus that you’ll be singing along with by the end of the song.
“I knew I had something special with this one” says lead singer and BRD songwriter Sam Browne. “There was something there from the first time we jammed on it – it just felt big, bad and right from the very beginning.” The song was inspired by a short and extremely tumultuous relationship with an international poker player. “At any given moment, I wasn’t sure if she was going to kiss me, punch me in the face or burn my house down. It was many things, but it wasn’t boring!”
