Singer, songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire Gary Clark Jr. will headline the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem on Nov 14th. Clark’s show at Terminal 5, set for Nov 16th, has completely sold out. Every other date on his recently-announced national tour, including the Sep 26th opening night at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles will follow suit.
Considered the bastion of African-American culture and achievement, The Apollo is famous for launching the careers of everyone from Ella Fitzgerald, to James Brown & The Famous Flames, to The Jackson 5, to Stevie Wonder, to Lauryn Hill. Now it will host Clark, who has enjoyed an amazing upward trajectory with a series of incendiary live performances, proving he is one of the most exciting artists to hit the scene in recent years.
