Best-selling British rock band Muse has broken the record for number of weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Chart with “Madness,” the debut single off the trio’s current album 2nd Law. The 2013 Grammy Award-nominated track has spent 19 weeks at No. 1, surpassing the previous record holder, Foo Fighters’ “The Pretender,” which peaked in 2007.
“Madness” is the debut single from 2nd Law (also a 2013 Grammy nominee), which earned Muse its highest-ever debut on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart when it bowed at No. 2 a week after its October 2nd release.
