Looks like “Bieber Fever” has swept the nation for a second year in a row as Justin Bieber tops Bing’s list of Top Searched Musicians in 2012. From an album release and an on/off relationship with a former Disney starlet, there is no surprise that this has been the year of the Bieber.
The nation was stunned this year to hear the news of Whitney Houston’s death. Many turned to the web to get more details about her passing, making her the second most searched musician of the year. With A late 2011 divorce, an album re-release, and a movie, Katy Perry rounds out the top 3 of the most searched musicians of 2012.
In the top songs of 2012 category, Psy’s Gangnam Style shoots to the top of the list. Newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe comes in at a close second. Rounding out the top three was Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend.
