After recording 2011’s Electro De Perfecto and playing shows with his rock trio around Los Angeles, Mike Viola headed out on a solo acoustic tour in support of the record. And it was while out of the road where Viola first stuck on the idea to record Acousto De Perfecto, a de facto “bookend” featuring stripped down versions of Electro De Perfecto.

Viola concedes that there’s no specific reason why he picked the three songs from EDP that appear amidst ADP’s eleven new tracks, including “Closet Cutter”, “El Mundo de Perfecto” and the single “Soundtrack of My Summer”.
