Fueled By Ramen has announced its signing of Twenty One Pilots. The band revealed the news to its hometown fans over the weekend at a sold out gig at Columbus, Ohio’s LC Pavilion. The show, which sold out over two weeks in advance, was upgraded to the larger LC Pavilion (2200 capacity) from the Newport Music Hall (1500 capacity) due to enormous popular demand. Twenty One Pilots will make its label debut with an as-yet-untitled new EP which was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Greg Wells (Weezer, All American Rejects, OneRepublic, Adele). The EP is slated for release in the coming months and will be followed later this year by a full-length album. In addition, a wide range of national tour dates will be announced shortly.
The duo — that is, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dunn — said, “We are thrilled to be a part of the Fueled By Ramen family. Our fans have been our inspiration and upon meeting the Fueled By Ramen team we felt a true understanding of the importance of our fan base. Now that FBR is part of our team we feel that we have no boundaries with where we can go on this journey. We are proud to be a part of a label with cultural relevance and a history set in supporting the artistic vision. Time to get ready for the show!”
