Alborosie unleashes his brand new video “Respect” ft Junior Reid off of 2 Times Revolution (Greensleeves), the recent album from the Italian-born, Jamaican-based multi-faceted musician.
The 33-year-old Sicilian with waist-long dreadlocks – who Wiz Khalifa goes to for reggae samples (“Still Blazin”) and Pitchfork once claimed was the best artist of the year for reggae/dancehall, stating “say what you want about white reggae– you’ll only need to hear him once to eat your words,” – had a very clear vision in mind for this song and video. “I love myself and I respect myself. I also love people and I respect them too. That is the root of my message and so that is what I push in my music all the while,” he notes.
