According to GagaDaily.com, the RIAA has said that the pop star is the best-selling certified artist in digital sales history, with her songs “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” “Paparazzi” and “LoveGame” combining to move over 20-million downloads in the U-S alone. And this number doesn’t even include her most recent singles, “Telephone,” “Alejandro” and “Born This Way,” which are yet to receive certification.
SHAKIRA MEETS WITH BRAZILIAN PRESIDENT
Shakira had a chance to meet with the president of Brazil in an effort to improve the welfare of children in the country. According to various outlets like Radar and Daily Mail, Christina Aguilera is looking to sell her Beverly Hills mansion. Christina bought the house for over 11.5-million dollars in 2007 from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. The singer is now asking for 13.5-million dollars for the estate, which was made famous on MTV’s The Osbournes.

MADONNA’S STALKER IS UNFIT FOR TRIAL
Grzegorz Matlock, the man arrested earlier in the week for breaking into Madonna London home, was declared unfit for trial and will be held in custody until mid-April so he can have his mental health assessed. According to BangShowbiz.com, Madge and her children were not home at the time as they were in America attending the funeral of her 99-year-old grandmother who recently passed away.
DURAN DURAN PLAY SXSW, ALBUM OUT TOMORROW
Late last week, Duran Duran kicked off their world tour by performing at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. According to Billboard.com, the group played a “crowd-pleasing” set, which included songs like “Hungry Like The Wolf” and “Girls on Film.” The trek is in support of their latest album, All You Need Is Now, which is out tomorrow (3/22).
SOLANGE RASIES MONEY FOR JAPAN
With Japan left picking up the pieces after the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country, it’s nice to know that celebrities are donating to relief efforts. Solange told the World Entertainment News Network that she plans to raise money by selling artwork by her six-year-old son, Julez, with all proceeds going to Japan. Beyonce’s sister explained, “[Julez] was very affected by it and asked a lot of questions and we decided we wanted to do something together to help…he did a watercolor of the Japanese flag and we’re making shirts and totes [bags] and note cards and we’re gonna sell them locally here.”
COLDPLAY PRODUCE NEW MOVIE
Coldplay are working on a new album, but they are also working on a movie project. NME reports that the band is co-financing a new Ray Winstone film called Ashes. The entire band will serve as executive producers on the project. Still no word as to when we’ll be hearing the new Coldplay album.
