Kirtland Records is set to nationally release Sarah Jaffe’s first ever EP — Even Born Again — on March 8th. The decision to put this out comes on the heels of an incredibly successful year with her debut album Suburban Nature — which made Jaffe one of 2010’s breakout artists — topping year end lists for USA Today, Paste, Amazon and more. Even Born Again was originally released in 2008 and only available through independent local record stores in her home State of Texas. Now the rest of the US will have their chance to listen to the earliest official recorded music from Jaffe.
Following the March 8th release of the EP, Sarah will perform several sets at Austin’s annual South by Southwest music festival. Jaffe has been selected as one of the artists to grace the stage for Paste’s hotly sought after event on Thursday, March 17th at 3pm at The Stage on Sixth, she’s slated to perform Friday, March 18th at Momo’s as part of the listener supported Austin public radio station KUT’s showcase and on Saturday March 19th at the Ghost Room for the New Granada Day Party.
