Keegan McInroe with ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’

Right away I am intrigued just based off of this album title ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’, so I am eager to learn more about Keegan McInroe.  Keegan is an accomplished singer/songwriter from Texas and is also considered to be an international troubadour.  ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’ is Keegan McInroe’s seventh studio album and includes material that is rich in substance and value.  Singing and performing straight from the heart, Keegan McInroe will delight many listeners with the new release, ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’.

The record was recorded at 7013 Sound in Fort Worth, Texas with Grant Wilborn co-producing, engineering, mixing & mastering ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’.  The album certainly has that polished touch and Keegan adds a lineup of talented musicians to further enhance the distinct sound.  With elements of americana and a rootsy, country style in place, Keegan McInroe invites listeners to take the journey and enjoy the sounds of ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’.

The album kicks off with “Big Year” that is highly relatable and certainly connects with a wide audience.  Time to turn it down a notch on “Lonesome Friends of Science” where a slowed-down tempo aligns perfectly with Keegan’s message.  Keegan is living “deep inside his head” on “Lonesome Friends of Science” and in the end whatever happens, the music always plays on.  The title track, “Dusty Passports and Empty Beds”, offers up a fun ‘n’ fresh style that will spark your musical tastebuds.  Track four, “Ey Brother”, is aimed at the crazy world we live in where it “just gets wilder every day”, according to Keegan McInroe.  Next, we head into “Thanksgiving Night” where Keegan is thankful for the memories whether they be happy, sad or a little of both.  We jump into “Only To Be Songs” now where a toe-tappin’ rhythm will make you want to dance a jig.  “Only To Be Songs” is a lively tune with a fun atmosphere and is sure to be a fan-favorite.  We stumble along at a very slow pace into the following number, “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry”.  Keegan McInroe urges listeners to “have the best time” because “tomorrow is a privilege not everyone has”.  To that I raise my glass and say CHEERS and just “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry”!  Track eight, “John’s Songs”, is dedicated to one of Keegan’s major musical influences John Prine.  The impact John Prine’s music has had on Keegan McInroe is clearly evident on the line that says “We still got John’s Songs to help us make it through”.  Furthermore, the instrumentation and musical direction is top-notch on “John’s Songs” solidifying Keegan McInroe as a standout singer/songwriter.  Keegan performs with such each on the closing number “Traveler’s Wind”.  A calming breeze of content brushes past your ears and it’s in the key of “Traveler’s Wind”.

Keegan McInroe is not afraid to be vulnerable and expose his innermost feelings & emotions on the new release.  ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’ has got heart & soul and is a true gem.  Get your one-way ticket to ‘Dusty Passports and Empty Beds’ by your captain Keegan McInroe and enjoy the musical flight.
