Of the eleven album tracks, “Devil You’re A Liar” includes two covers: a psycho-chill reset of Pink Floyd’s “Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun” and “Dark”, a circa 1940’s Julie London b-side featuring vocals by singer-filmmaker Renee Wilson, who appears as one of the Raelettes in the Academy Award winning film, Ray.
Earlier this month, Muhlfriedel directed a video for “Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun” which, like Buff Roshi’s music, utilizes layers of found elements connected by seductive thematic underpinnings.
