Dublin-based singer-songwriter Galvo is gearing up to release his debut album, The HeARTist, with the lead single ‘Getting Better’.
The album is a beautiful blend of indie-folk, drawing on influences from Elliott Smith, Billy Corgan, Radical Face and Sufjan Stevens. The lead single, ‘Getting Better’, encapsulates the spirit of the album with its soothing melodies, uplifting atmosphere and encouraging message of personal growth.
Alongside the music, Galvo debuted the ‘Getting Better’ music video that follows an imaginative story of small hands that are granted immense power. The video not only pokes fun but also encourages viewers to be content with themselves and be wary of the extremes of life.
The HeARTist is a project deeply personal to Galvo, drawing on his working-class Irish upbringing and time in London running a Pakistani hip-hop label. Additionally, his experience as a knight on ‘Game of Thrones’ has allowed Galvo to craft a unique sound from his own extraordinary life.
Furthermore, Galvo has enlisted Hugh Rodgers and Niall Woods of A Dark Horse to lend their musical talent to the record. The HeARTist and its lead single ‘Getting Better’ both promise to offer a heartfelt, emotive experience and are certain to impress.
