US indie heavyweights Hippo Campus announce the release of their new EP Wasteland, out April 14th via Grand Jury Music (Samia, Twin Peaks, Jordana, Native Sun, Hovvdy). The announcement is accompanied by single ‘Kick In The Teeth’, a warm, raw ode to a lover that spotlights frontman Jake Luppen’s honeyed vocals. Talking a few years before his death in 2019, Larry remembered writing it “around the same time” that he was a member of Motörhead, before recording it in late 1977 as a possible follow-up to his solo hit “Police Car.”

Zack grew up in upper Manhattan and attended Fieldston High School and Wesleyan University, where he earned a BA in philosophy in 2011. He was an exceptional acoustic and electric bass player and is credited on more than a dozen albums.
