Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Announces Initial Lineup for 2023 Festival
Today, the good folks at Planet Bluegrass are pleased to announce the initial lineup for Rocky Mountain Folks Festival 2023. Charley Crockett, The Tallest Man on Earth, Josh Ritter and The Royal City Band, Tank and the Bangas, Larkin Poe, and The Secret Sisters will take the stage at the 33rd annual celebration of great songs which takes place August 11-13 in beautiful Lyons, CO, at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch along the St. Vrain River. Tickets are on sale today at 10 AM MT at shop.bluegrass.com. This is Folks Festival’s initial lineup offering and fans should stay tuned to Planet Bluegrass social media and website for lineup additions and more information including camping, parking, and single day tickets.

SEERD Releases Empowering “I Won’t Comply” Single
When was the last time you heard of a Rock/Metal band that has a former elementary and middle school principal as its lead vocalist? When was the last time you heard of a Rock/Metal band with father and daughter vocalists? When was the last time you heard of a Rock/Metal band that formed from the staff and parents of an Armenian elementary school? Well, Central California Rock/Metal band SEERD, has all three and is now looking to make a serious dent in the rock and metal world. Vocalist Curtis Shamlin formed SEERD by recruiting all its members from Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School in the Fresno, California area. Mher Ezekian and Robert Gonzalez were both parents, Kayla Shamlin was the volleyball and soccer coach, and Curtis Shamlin was the principal/superintendent.
SEERD incorporates melodic hooks, a rollercoaster range of emotional and aggressive vocals with modern heavy industrial sounds, and just a hint of 80’s metal.

In his new music video for “If I Ever,” pop star Conor Maynard explores trust and suspicion in relationships and the different outcomes that they each can lead to. Directed and produced by Maynard himself, the video features a split-screen of Maynard and his love interest. On one side we see Maynard snooping onto his girlfriend’s phone and the fallout that has on him and his relationship. On the other side we glimpse an alternate reality in which he doesn’t peek onto her device, and the loving life they go on to lead. The video asks the question, is it better to live in blissful ignorance, or face the painful reality?

His new single “The Show,” is a smooth, straight-shooting anthem from his upcoming album, P Rock, short for Plymouth Road in West Side Detroit. Ringing guitars and skittering percussion assist in narrating the tale of DZ’s rise, as he notes the legacy he’s establishing and offers words of wisdom for aspiring hustlers: “Conceal your intentions, never show ’em how you feelin/Always say less than necessary when you chillin/Started from the bottom now a n**** own the building.” The CT Films directed music video finds DZ taking a ride down Plymouth Road as he appreciates how far he’s come and plots for the future.
